Based in Shannon the once aviation capital of ireland Atlantic airventure is in a perfect spot. There is a museum with different aircraft in front of it. Inside there is a reception desk and visitor centre. In a room beside that there is computers where you can play FSX. Behind the visitor centre there is cut off noses of aircraft and an engine, but the best atraction would most deffinetly be the 737 NG sim a profesional simulator which can be used as training and well worth the money Prices And other info here->http://www.atlanticairventure.com/

My Opinion Probably the best day out i've had the staff are very friendly and helpful
There is also a anual show on Aug. 28th

My rating A 10/10 it deserved it

You can go into cockpits, touch the outside of airplanes and scare the wits out of yourself trying a simulated flight. So realistic my 5 year and 7 year olds thought we were actually on a plane and had flown somewhere with daddy at the controls! They were completely disorientated when we got out of the cockpit and we were still in the same place! They do school tours and summer camps. It's great to have something like this right on our doorstep.

Jane opened the centre especially for us at short notice and brought us on the 737 simulator, really interesting and absorbing experience, the screen fills your field of vision and its totally convincing. lots to see and learn, well recommended for a visit.

Grandpa Tom, that' very kind of you to say, many thanks!
I'm so glad that Captain Joe and Sam and Nanny Mc had a great time too, part of our job as parents and grandparents is to feed their curiosity and expose them to all sort of new things, in our case its aviation. I just spent the morning at Limerick Flying Club with my grandson, my little Co Pilot, so I know exactly how you feel! It means a lot to all of us here, its part of our being and we take it very seriously, in a fun way! We look forward to seeing you again, and check the facebook page for pics!
Best Regards

Visited here on saturday as we were staying in the hotel next door and they recommended the visit . Glad we went a lot of aircraft and you get to look in old cockpits of planes and the guy who gave us the tour showed us everything even showed us the flight simulator that future pilots train on and do refresher courses . They have a lot of interesting stuff here and they said a lot of it is donated to them very educational trip well worth the experience and its only €6 each .
