Stayed here for 3 nights with a KGB Deal on 12th May. From the outside the hotel looks very small, but looks are very deceiving. Staff were all very friendly on arrival. We had paid extra for a Superior room, it was gorgeous. Very good size, bathroom functional, wifi in all parts of the hotel. Bed was very comfy & no noise at all. The breakfast buffet was excellent, all freshly prepared, very good selection & staff bring fresh tea or coffee. Had dinner in the bar and portions were very good size, and good value for money. Was very more-ish!!

Shannon town itself is very small so we didn't explore it at all. if you have a car travel into Limerick and eat at Texas SteakOut on O'Connell Street. Was E24.95 for 4 courses and gorgeous.

Any time I'm going to be down in the area I will be sure to stay at hotel again :)

Room Tip: Upgrade if possible.

A very nice hotel bedrooms very comfortable, nice well cooked food, breakfast very good all you would ever need and staff really friendly a nice stay. The mistake we made was we had booked on line for 5 nights Shannon town is dead with just a very small shopping area you can cover it in an hour, this meant that wherever we ventured to we had to head back to Shannon, thus limiting what we saw. Travel around and book into hotels as you go there are plenty to choose from.

Room Tip: Book just one night and get out of Shannon town

Quite pleased with our stay as a couple in this hotel. It has free park and fly car park which is great. Only 5 mins in taxi to airport. A bit old and need of a lick of paint in parts but has some wonderful old antique furniture .
Avoid Shannon town just a shopping centre with a few cheap restaurants and 2 unremarkable pubs. A local taxi man told me much of Shannon has only been built since the 1970's since airport built it has the feel of somewhere with little soul or character sorry locals.

Spent 3 nights at the Oakwood Arms Hotel in Shannon visiting friends. A great location from which to explore the fantastic sights in Co.Clare and close enough to the airport. Upon arrival you are greeted with a warm reception where staff are courteous and helpful. Breakfasts are wonderful, no request is too much and restaurant staff work hard to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Bedrooms are practical, clean and well furnished and after requesting a quiet room, was placed in the quieter part of the hotel where I enjoyed an undisturbed stay.
Facilities in the town are limited, but the Knights bar has live music, great company and a fantastic bistro for daytime snacks.
Give it a try - i'm sure you'll love it too.

Room Tip: I had room 369 which is well placed if you like peace and quiet.

Enjoyed the breakfast and a good dinner meal at the hotel in the evenings. All hotel staff members we met were professional and very friendly. Will definately come back.

My stay at Oak Wood Arms Hotel was fabulous. It is a very traditionally built hotel with a great location, as it is situated in the heart of Shannon's town centre. It is also very comfortable from the point of view that it is just a five minutes drive from the airport. The atmosphere within the hotel was quite healthy, all the staff... The food at the hotel was excellent. It offered traditional Irish food which My husband and myself really liked alot.We felt the stay was quite pleasing there. I would suggest anybody going to Shannon must stay in this hotel and enjoy the beautiful views of Shannon, Ireland.
