Stayed at Carrygerry Country House for one night. Overall it is a nice place to stay and dinner was really nice as we were seated in the conservatory looking out onto a beautiful backdrop...desert was the nicest I've ever had. hard to find this B&B using Google Maps. Lovely open fire in the lounge area and was lovely to sit there and relax. Huge king size bed which was wonderful but bedrooms and hallway a little tired looking and in need of some attention. TV reception was bad but room had a gorgeous view. Pricey considering it is a three star Guest House. Overall an enjoyable stay.

I was first in Carrygerry for dinner a couple of years ago and loved the place, the food & the service, so when it came to organising a family party recently, there was no other choice for me... We held our family get-together here last weekend & I cannot say enough good things about the whole experience! From the warm welcome, the high quality (DELICIOUS!) food, fantastic atmosphere, great location and the standard response to every question being 'no problem', CarryGerry House is a fabulous venue for any celebration large or small, or indeed for a quiet weekend away (The rooms are beautiful). While only a stones throw from Shannon airport, this little gem is in the middle of rolling countryside - a real world away from the hustle and bustle, and a great base from which to explore the county. A warm, homely and beautiful house - with a courtyard at the back, and an outside fire providing a great backdrop for those cool irish evenings. The owners were extremely helpful and accommodating and the service - without exception - was fantastic and friendly! Thank you so much for a truly memorable weekend, and look forward to our next visit!

My wife, then sixteen year old son and I stayed at Carrygerry Country House for 2 nights in summer, 2012. It was absolutely perfect. The rooms were wonderful. The food was great. The hotel was delightful. The owners were the nicest people imaginable. I will always stay there, at least one night, when returning to Ireland and I have told everyone considering a trip to Ireland that this hotel is a must!

Stayed here one night while working locally.
Warm welcome, comfortable bed, GREAT food, in very peaceful surroundings.
Service was relaxed without being sloppy or in-your-face.

A nice old-school family run hotel, with an artist in the kitchen.
Very good value here, especially Dinner B&B deal!

Room Tip: Rooms at front of the house have lovely views over the Shannon Estuary.

My daughter and I stayed at the Carrygerry House 2 nights in Late February. Its literally in the middle of nowhere, but so cozy when you arrive. Its not really in Shannon as mentioned, but in Newmarket on Fergus. Gillian, the owner, couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. Our room was lovely and the beds extremely comfortable. The restaurant is wonderful and we were surprised by the amount of people who traveled just to the restaurant. Gillian's husband, Neal is the cook and his meals are delicious and elegant. We were originally going to stay there one night, but we're so glad we stayed two. It's a great view of the Irish countryside!
