The Clare Veg Group ate at this restaurant last night. The Chef cooked us a variety of
fresh Vegan prepared dishes. Our starters were Veg Samosas, Bhajis, onion rings with lime
pickle and chilli sauce. We had a delicious Dahl. A spicy Veg Balti. Chana Masala.
Aloo Gobi and a mix of boiled and pilau of rice. The Chef gave us a simple refreshing
selection of seasonal fruit to finish the meal.

I have often gotten take-away from here but this was my first time sitting in the restaurant to have a meal. A big group of us went and were served a buffet style meal. Our chef was very accommodating. The whole meal was prepared fresh from scratch and was fabulous authentic vegetarian indian cuisine. He actually made it vegan friendly by substituting the butter ghee. He checked up on us regularly to see if we were OK. Also very good value for money. Fab little indian restaurant in the heart of Shannon.

Clare Veggie Group met their on the coldest day of the year so far; we were warmed up by poppadums and dips, then starters of onion bhajis and samosas - more than enough for the nine of us.

Then came a kind of lentil soup, really delicious, plus aloo ghobi, chana dahl and mixed vegetable curry, one of the nicest I've had - I've never really been keen on the mixed veg option in curry houses but this one was good.

Two kinds of rice were served. All the dishes were chosen by the chef for our group - which meets once a month in different places - and were all vegan, using no butter ghee.

We finished with two big platters of fresh fruit, which we didn't expect but were really refreshing.

So, friendly staff, plenty of food and veggie to boot - what more could you ask for? Oh yes, a bit more heating on such a cold day! Otherwise, would go there again.
