“Laharn Cottage, a beautifully presented cottage in a quiet location on Mórchuaird Chiarraí (The Ring of Kerry)”
Reviewed 1 April 2018 for a stay in March 2018

Laharn Cottage is located less than a mile west of Killorglin (Home of King Puck) a stones throw off 'The Ring' itself. The quiet location makes a great starting point if your driving the ring yourself, alternatively your are only about 20 minutes from Killarney, reported to be the 'start point' for the more organised coach tours.

On arrival at the cottage you are met by the owners, which we liked, as familiarisation of the property and facilities are completed quicker, along with any questions you may have. This all leads to enjoying your vacation sooner!

The property is well presented with its decoration and facilities. Oil fed central heating as well as an efficient log burner ensured our March stay was a very comfortable one. All new domestic equipment is available to ensure you have everything you need dependant on how involved you want to get. If you don't want to get too 'involved', there are some great restaurants nearby, The Bianconi Inn, Killorglin, Jacks Coastguard Restaurant, Cromane. If travelling a little further out and come across The Oyster Tavern - Spa Road, Tralee, do not eat before ordering the Oyster Tavern Baked Seafood Symphony!

The cottage's quiet location and lack of light pollution lends itself to some lovely star lit skies out toward the west (if the wonderful Irish clouds part for you), caution if walking the road as no path or lighting, but this adds to the location.

Thank you Brian & Mary, we had a wonderful break.
