We are off the grid travelers who like to immerse ourselves in the cultures we visit and this was exactly what we were looking for. The Doherty's were more than welcoming, they made us feel like family. Ann had fresh baked goodies and farm fresh eggs for us and Neil took my kids to watch the cows get milked and then let them feed the calfs. The backdrop is the MacGillicuddy Reeks with gorgeous sunsets. Everything we wanted to see on the Dingle and Iveragh peninsulas was easily within an hour drive. Killarney National Park, Gap of Dunloe, and the Kerry Woolen Mills are within minutes. This was just like home for us, we come from a farming community and love the atmosphere just keep in mind that this is a working farm. We hope to make it back there one day. One note on the average rating of the directions, coming from the US we are used to marked street signs and there weren't many of those around our part of Ireland so that took some getting used to, once there navigation to and from was very easy.
