We recently spent a week going all over the southern half of Ireland, staying in a different B&B each night, all in the 33-36 euro/pp sharing range. All but one were good, and we were on the whole quite satisfied. There was one, however, that stood out in all areas -- Keldun House in Tarbert. Our room was very large and beautifully decorated, and the rest of the house was very classy. The owner, Bernadette, couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. Each of our B&B's advertised a similar breakfast -- a choice of full Irish breakfast or other menu choices -- but the breakfast served at Keldun House was tops. Everything was cooked perfectly, and there were several "extras" like a fruit bowl for those wishing fresh fruit with their Irish breakfast. The establishment is located right on the main street in the village of Tarbert, but it was very quiet. With the lovely garden out back as the view from the dining room, you tended to forget you were right in town. But it was quite convenient when we wanted to go walking to see the town.
