“Fabulous Hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 April 2012

Stayed in a three bed apartment, absolutely beautiful. Scenary at the hotel, in, Sneem, Derrynane ... Stunning. Had a great weekend. Only arrived and the girls (13 yrs) were gone off on the bikes around the hotel and into the village. Took the kayaks out, they loved it as well and can't wait to go back. Second time staying here and we loved every minute of it. Staff are brilliant, friendly and really helpful. Food mmm... Need I say more. Great Hotel all round!

We stayed in a sea view room over the St. Patricks weekend, I booked the hotel after finding it on trip Advisor and it looked good and had fantastic ratings, As soon as we arrived I knew we had made the right choice, it looked even better than in the photos, the staff were so friendly and helpful, I would like to thank you all Dina, Esther, Michel, the English waitress, cleaning staff(rooms were immaculate) Dina the receptionint was particularly good with advice,

Kayaking was great fun in the estuary in front of the hotel, the walks are lovely, the restaurant food was superb,

The village is a very short walk away and the way safe and well lit at night.
In the village, the blue bull restaurant (which is more of a beautiful quaint old Irish style bar) food was superb, and we also went to D O' Sheas bar and it was excellent.

Room Tip: For a romantic break, book a sea view room, The sun sets behind the mountains on the estuary, so b...

I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel last weekend, with my mom and sisters.
The whole experience was a delight from beginning to end. all the staff were so lovely and helpful, the hotel was immaculate and the rooms not to mention the amazing view were top class.
The value here was brilliant and the food in the restaurant was beautiful. Also we had lunch in the bar on arrival and this was top notch also, we had a lovely waitress here, think her name was danny, really pleasant and helpful.
I cannot wait to return here again, as although the hotel is really big, it feels so homely and really relaxing.
I saw the Wheelchair accessible rooms on the ground floor while there and they were the best i've seen yet, perfect bathrooms here also as well as plenty space. The apartments where pets are welcome, are beautiful also.
Also Dina and Louise were really lovely both upon check in and check out.

the hotel complimentary bike and canoe hire is an added bonus on the beautiful lake which the hotel overlooks.
Looking forward to coming back here really soon. best yet!

We stayed at Sneem Hotel for a couple of days and it was great from start to finish. The staff are pleasant and helpful, delivering friendly and unobtrusive service.
The hotel itself is very well kept with spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean room and the views of the inlet with swans swimming and the surrounding hills were like something from a tourist brochure, just beautiful.
We had dinner on our first night in the bar and the food was delicious with perfectly cooked steak and fish followed by very good desserts especially a Bailey's creme brulee.
There is a jacuzzi and sauna in the basement and it was a great place to revive after a long days walking in the beautiful surrounding countryside. We were provided with substantial packed lunches by the hotel for our walk.
Breakfast was good and there was plenty of choice including full Irish, porridge with honey and cream, omelettes or even fish. We had the pleasure of meeting a local man in the lobby one morning who told us some very interesting and entertaining stories so look out for Kevin if you are staying at Sneem Hotel.
The village is a few minutes stroll away and has several 'proper local' type bars that are well worth a visit. A great stay at a lovely hotel and highly recommended!

4 of us booked a ground floor apartment for St Patricks Weekend. Spacious, spotless and with a scenic view. All for €160 for 2 nights. Furnished in a luxuriious style and even included dishwasher tablets & wash up liquid! We were very impressed and intend to return soon. This is our third stay here but our first experience of the apartments. Nice to see familiar staff again especially Lisa who is
so helpful at all times. This hotel really has the friendliness of old Ireland but with the luxury and spectacular setting we all expect these days. Great value

My husband and i spent a fabulous two night break over patricks weekend and we could not find fault with this hotel. We booked the romantic two night escape in a sea view room and that was exactly what it was. The chocolates and sparkling wine in the room on arrival was a lovely touch. Our package included dinner on one night and we had planned to eat in sneem on night two but the food was so good and the staff so friendly that we decided to eat there on the second night also. Breakfast was huge we were so full we didn'd need lunch. The rooms are large and very very clean with a huge bed that was so comfy. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a quiet stress free break from everyday life. I am going to book again for the October bank holiday weekend.
