If you like great seafood this is the place to stop. A variety of fresh caught seafood is on their menu every day. Our group of four tried a variety of menu selections-Crab Claws, Fresh Crabmeat Au Gratin, Prawns and Seafood Chowder. All were excellent. Most, if not all seafood was locally caught and was very fresh. Service was first rate. The restaurant is very popular with locals and travelers who know about it-it would be a good idea to call and make a reservation before arriving. It is located just off the western end of the Ring of Kerry, at Reenard Point (where the ferry to Valentia Island is located). Highly recommended.

Great food, really wholesome food, definitely worth stopping for, even the Guinness was lovely, couldn’t complain about the place at all.

This is a very popular seafood restaurant - but does not take reservations. The staff are very accomodating, friendly and helpful. I was a little disappointed with the main coure of monkfish which was essentially monkfish on a bed of potatoes or a monkfish/potato casserole. The prawn starter was excellent however. It is a little bit pricey also.

Stop into this place on your way across to Valentia (ferry runs every 10 mins or so), time it for lunch and you will enjoy a really special treat. I had an open salmon sandwich and it was wonderful. My missus had some kid of seafood salad and again every scrap eaten as if it were her last. The place looks tiny from the outside but its quite large inside and a giant in terms of the lovely fresh food, great staff too, its busy so you have to be a little bit patient but lovely people and food.

Such friendly staff giving you the warmest of Irish welcomes, O Neill’s abundance of mouthwatering dishes from the sea will certainly leave you feeling like you want to return. My friend and I travelling from Galway stopped by for lunch on Saturday afternoon before getting the ferry across to Valentia.. only wish we could have stayed longer!
