This really is an exceptional B&B - it was beautifully refurbished in early 2006 on a nautical theme, in keeping with the sailing school to which it is attached. We stayed here in order to fully experience the famous Island Cottage restaurant, and it was definitely a good decision.
It may sound twee, but the lounge is the sort of place where you feel at home straight away! A couple of hours finishing off a bottle of wine after dinner was so relaxing in this beautiful house.
The bedroom was great too - good firm beds, excellent shower, and plenty of space in both the ensuite bathroom and the bedroom itself.
The breakfast was superb - the freshly made soda bread was enlived with crunchy seeds, and the black and white pudding was seriously quality stuff ! The lady running the B&B was extremely helpful and friendly - and her husband gave us a lift in their rather clapped out vehicle both to and from the ferry pier.
I really couldn't over-reccomend this B&B - although we were fortunate enough to have the place to ourselves for the night, I can't imagine it being anything but a fantastic experience, even if it was completely full.
