“Charming country setting good value for money”
Reviewed 12 September 2013 via mobile

We stayed here recently. It's a good 30 min drive from Bantry best drive with day light if you can. Though its worth the view come morning of the bay right on their doorstep. Host is most helpful and accommodating. Bring your hiking boots to hike Sheeps head about 20 mins away, then enjoy coffee cake or tasty soup in Bernie's cafe

We picked a perfect weekend weather-wise to visit the Lambs Head peninsula and our stay at Reenmore Farm made it a weekend to remember. Jennie and Kevin are the best hosts, welcoming guests to their home with genuine warmth and kindness. Jennie's cooking is first-class - we enjoyed tea with home-made fruit cake in the sunshine on arrival and the breakfast was excellent. We spent several hours just exploring the farm, the fields which go right down to the sea and the little beach at the front gate. Bedroom comfortable and cosy and Jennie made phone calls to book us into local restaurant for evening meal. This is definitely somewhere we would go back to and I highly recommend it as a base for exploring a beautiful area.

My daughter and I stayed at this B&B for two days in April 2013. Our stay was delightful! The traditional Irish farmhouse is set right on the sea and the scenery is magnificent. Jennie is a wonderful hostess and a great cook. Breakfast was delicious and each afternoon, she provided us with tea and scones in a sitting room near a cozy fire. We truly had a memorable stay!

My wife and I spent a week at Reenmore Farm B&B on the Sheepheads Peninsula ( Between Ahakista & Kilcrohane) and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit there. Our hostess Jennie Barry couldn't have been more attentive to our needs and requests and I must admit that Jennie prepared the best "Breakfast" of any of the B&B's we stayed at during this trip. I am a fan of the FULL IRISH BREAKFAST and all the meats were cooked perfectly and my eggs ( both fried & scrambled) were made exactly how I liked them. As this is still a working farm there are cows, sheep and chickens in close proximity to the house however, It was exactly this rural lifestyle that we were looking for. Life on the peninsula is very peaceful and calming and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I would definitely recommend Reenmore to those who are looking for something off the beaten track and want a restful vacation spot. The views of the sea at the end of the drive were spectacular especially on a clear sunny day !!! I give Jennie 4**** for her establishment and when we go back to South West Cork we DEFINITELY will stay with Jennie again !!!!!!

Going by previous reviews we thought we'd found an ideal spot. One reviewer said the farmhouse is within walking distance of 2 pubs - I don't think so! The nearest pub open in the evening for food and drink was 15 minutes drive way in Durras. Greeted with muffins and a cuppa which was very welcome. Spacious room but not very warm. In fact another couple asked for a heater for their room. Delicious breakfast as per the Irish tradition. We also had a little bother getting to the farm. Started taking the farmyard track instead of the proper one - think perhaps another sign at that point would be a good idea.

Just the drive down to the farm would make you want to return. Spectacular view. The breakfasts were wonderful. The room was cozy and the bed so comfortable. We were there to hike so Jenny helped us find amazing places to walk with unbelievable scenery. Overall, this was a memorable experience.

This is the kind of place you almost don't want to tell anyone about because part of what makes it so great is that it's off the beaten path. The 130 year old farmhouse was very comfortable with large bedrooms and hot showers, and a lovely sitting area downstairs for relaxing. The farm itself was just lovely, with beautiful flower gardens and amazing views. It was truly like being right on the edge of the world - completely secluded and incredibly beautiful. And yet we were within a 2 minute drive of a very good restaurant/pub, so it was perfect. The remote location was a bit out of the way but still a good base for exploring Sheep's Head as well as Bantry, Schull, and Mizen Head areas without difficulty.

Jennie and Kevin were the perfect hosts - so friendly and kind, the epitome of hospitality. We really loved talking with them and enjoyed their company. Breakfast was wonderful.

We stayed 2 nights but I could have easily spent our entire Irish vacation here. A great value for a perfect stay. A true gem.
