We stayed in the Waters Edge at the end of June, and dined in their Jacob's Ladder restaurant on 3 nights. There is great variation on the menus, so something for everybody and something different every night. The food was gorgeous. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I would return to Cobh just to eat here again.

We enjoyed breakfast and dinner at Jacobs Ladder during our stay at Watersedge. The staff was very friendly. The selection provided us all with something to our liking. The hotel provided their full Irish Breakfast in the Jacobs Ladder Restaurant and the breakfast was very nice along with a selection of prepared breakfast items there was a nice buffet.

The service and experience myself and my guest had in Jacob's ladder restaurant this evening was appalling to say the least. We asked for a pepper mill we were brought out one that did not work. I had a fish cake for starters that was tasteless. My friend had cold Chowder which was very very salty. To make matters worse my friend added more salt to her soup because the pepper condiment on the table had salt in it. At this stage her soup was inedible. We called upon a waitress for help only to be greeted with a serious attitude problem. Her whole demeanour was appalling. Rudeness body language UNPROFESSIONALISM was second to none. This restaurant is on the higher scale price wise and we were not expecting such a response from this badly trained young lady. We asked for the manager who was not on duty. A nice girl came to listen to us dare I say not very sympathetically. Our evening at The Watersedge was ruined. My guest and myself were extremely upset with the way we were treated and left forthwith. An evening which started off well was ruined. I will never go back to this hotel again. What was supposed to be a pleasant evening turned out to be so upsetting.

We ate in three nights, the choice of food was good. The food was excellent and obviously cooked to order. The staff were very polite, friendly and efficient, it was also not too expensive..
We also breakfasted there four days and the same applied. You could not have wished for better service. The restaurant and Bar overlook the harbour as did a balcony and provide an attractive and interesting backdrop whilst eating.

Loved everything about this restaurant. Perfectly positioned to watch the cruise ships berthing nearby. Views across the harbour and further to Spike Island. A water view from almost every table in the restaurant. Excellent contemporary food. Great service. Nice area to wait for friends, comfortable lounge and chairs. Very friendly staff. Restaurant is decorative and clean. Outdoor balcony seating.
