We had Room 1 - a suite that had its own private balcony - excellent. Quiet, great breakfasts with staff that could not be more helpful. Position is stunning, next to heritage centre, and almost within touching distance of huge cruise liners. A must place to stay.

Room Tip: Go for room 1 or rooms overlooking the harbour - quiet and get a great sense of the historical significance of Cobh

Late booking for 2 nights as we were going to Cobh to visit friends who have just taken on the Rob Roy bar!

Staff all very friendly and polite - something not seen too often these days.
Room comfortable and clean.

The food was excellent - some great local seafood!! Will be back

We stayed at the Watersedge Hitel in Cobh for two nights and found it very comfortable. Bed and bedding were very good. Whole hotel is very clean and fresh and staff are helpful. Breakfast has everything you could wish for. Position is really good and there is private off street parking. We had water views from our room and we enjoyed watching the activity from our window. Only thing to watch..I was told that it would only be about 10 Euros for a big bag of laundry to be done. Got it done and it cost €35! Would use again but not the laundry service.

Room Tip: Ask for a water view.

Thank you for a favourable review of our hotel.

We are delighted that overall you enjoyed your stay with us.
a standard bag of laundry is approx. €10.00 to get washed and
dried at the local dry cleaner however I believe that your bag was quite large,
maybe this is the reason of the higher cost, we apologise if there was any confusion.
We hope to see you back in Cobh again in the future.

I stayed with my fiance for one night on a Thursday. The hotel was comfortable and cosy. I really enjoyed the view overlooking Cork Harbour. The room and bathroom was clean and comfortable. The bar and restaurant staff were friendly and efficient. We had dinner in the restaurant with two friends and the food was excellent.

One suggestion to management that I would offer is to buy and new iron and ironing board. The iron and ironing board I was provided with was ancient and worn out and not capable of properly ironing a shirt.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view.

We are glad that you enjoyed your stay with us at the Watersedge hotel

We take pride in the fact that being a small family owed hotel we can deliver the personal touch and a warm friendly service to our guests, something which is lacking in other bigger hotels.

Regarding your comment about the iron and board, I have taken this into account and purchased some new equipment for the hotel for use of the guests

Again thank you for your favourable review and we hope we can welcome you back to the Watersedge Hotel again in the future.

We didnt stay at this hotel but we ate here in March of this year on a busy Saturday evening, our family consisted of two adults and two children (6+2) My husband had Wings for starters and Steak for mains which was delicious, I had Salmon also delicious and the baby had a potatoe and soup dinner in a bowl, loads of, and I didnt even have to ask for a small spoon it arrived with it !!! The 6 year old had a half portion of the salmon and ate every bit. We were unable to order desert as the main meal was fantastic. Thumbs up it was a lovely family establishment, and we would most definately return for both food and to stay if we had occasion to.
