The WatersEdge Hotel is just that. The patio hangs over the harbor. It is very close to dining, pubs, shopping and waterfront parks. Cruise ships dock at the adjacent complex and provide a fascinating show, arriving in the morning and leaving in the evening. Harbor views for several miles. Staff are friendly and full of small town charm. Rooms are very roomy and comfortable. Parking in basement lot off street.

Room Tip: Ask for a water view.

A very central location, on site parking, great views of the busy harbour from the room- which was right on the water - great service and a great dining room make this a very good place on a visit to cobh. Which is itself one of my favorite towns in Ireland. We heard the Carillon recital from the Cathedral on Sunday afternoon. Another tick for my bucket list.

Came here at the last minute. I got a room although with no sea view so if you are booking, request one. The room is lovely, bright and clean.
I also had food in the restaurant which was reasonably priced and sumptuous. My only fault was that the wait staff were a bit inexperienced and missing the simple things- no water, not replacing your knife after your starter, walking past you ten times without checking your table, etc. simple things.
It won't put me off coming back though.
AND, try the chowder. It's divine!

Recently I hosted a tour group for 8 nights in Ireland. We stayed 3 nights at the Watersedge Hotel in Cobh. It is a pristine property right on the water where the cruise ships dock in Cobh. We were blessed with balcony rooms that guaranteed the best seats in the house for watching a Princess Cruise Line dock early in the morning. Our rooms were clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and went far beyond the call of duty to care for our needs. It is a short walk up the hill to all the shops and businesses. If you are going to Cobh, do yourself a favor and book at this small charming hotel. It was a treat to stay there. You can't go wrong. Also, it is the near the train station for Cork.

Room Tip: Be sure to get a Balcony room. There is no lift, so you may want to get a main level room.

This small hotel is good for the following reasons, underground parking, central location, nice friendly service, good varied breakfast, convenient for a relaxed evening meal and a drink. The hotel is located on the waters edge and guests can enjoy the view of passing boats.

Room Tip: Room with a view if possible

Great Hotel at an equally great location. The views from the windows were simply stunning. We had a triple room (double bed + 1 single bed) and we woke up to sea views for the 3 mornings that we spent at the WatersEdge. The triple room did not have a Balcony. The Staff and reception were friendly, helpful and very hospitable, I would give them a 5 rating for their service.

Unfortunately the WIFI in this hotel was really horrendous, the signals kept dropping every few seconds, so it was highly irritating to say the least when you were trying to get online, let alone access Youtube which was virtually painfully slow (took about 30 minutes before I could view half a video with tonnes of buffering time). I told the reception on the day we left, and she said that the WIFI was being repaired, which therefore explains the unstable connection. I guess we were unlucky being at the Hotel at the wrong time.

Toilets were clean, but I would expect at the price to stay at WatersEdge, that the soap/shampoo would have been a better / more expensive brand; I thought they looked pretty cheap. Also there weren't any shower caps, toothbrush, etc provided which was strange because I thought for a 4-5 star Hotel, these were standard amenities. You may have to ask Housekeeping for these separately.

Breakfast was quite nice, you have a choice of the usual cornflakes, yogurt, but the thing that differentiates WatersEdge from other hotels, was that you could have 'Fish of the Day' as an option for breakfast! A little strange, but a pleasant surprise. Best of all, you could have breakfast looking out the wonderful sights of the sea.

Notwithstanding the above, it was a very pleasant stay at WatersEdge Cobh. I wouldn't have chosen another Hotel to stay if I were to revisit Cobh!

Room Tip: Room 7 (triple room) does NOT have a balcony. But still has wonderful views of the Sea.

We stayed for four nights, eating in for 3 of these. The food could not be faulted neither could the service. We had a very well furnished and comfortable room which was in immaculate condition.
The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times.Whilst we did not have a harbour view from our room the bar and veranda gave panoramic views over the water. There is much to watch with the comings and goings of all sorts of water craft and watching the Cruise Liners arriving and leaving is quite something.
