We spent one night in Knockeven house May 10th. We were warmly greeted by Pam and she offered refreshments when we arrived. She also went out of her way to drop us in town ( a few min down the road). The Irish breakfast accompanied by freshly baked scones was excellent.
Rooms were very grand and spacious. Thoroughly enjoyed.

Knockeven was one of our best B & B experience in Ireland. Tastefully furnished manor house with big rooms and a great shower! Pam and John are gracious hosts and Pam is a font of information about anything in the area; her suggestion for a visit to Ardmore on our way to Kilknenny was a very good suggestion. Excellent breakfast and the scones are the best!

We stayed two nights at the end of April. Pam could not have been nicer. Bar none the best scones of the 12 day trip. The house and furnishings could use some freshening up. A little worn.

Room Tip: Choose the front two bedrooms

We just spent 2 days at Knockeven House thoroughly enjoying the place and the owners. Pam and John were both so hospitable. We were offered Pam's homemade scones and tea when we arrived in the afternoon, and treated to a wonderful homemade breakfast on the mornings. The room was spacious & well decorated, and we could see bits of the bay through the trees over the garden. In the evenings there was a big fire in the sitting room, and it was a perfect place to visit or read, and sip a hot beverage. Pam was helpful in recommending places to eat and to visit, and made bookings for us. It was an easy and pretty 15 minute walk to the Heritage Center and Cobh centre. All in all we highly recommend Knockeven House.

First time ever at a B&B and wasn't sure what to expect to be honest. My husband and I arrived in Cobh on April 9th, 2012 - the same day as the Titanic Anniversay Cruise Ship "The Balmoral", so the town was shoulder to shoulder with people! We had e-mailed the host Pamela ahead of time and told her when we would be arriving, and were right on the dot. She greeted us with a warm smile and invited us in for scones, tea, and coffee. Because we wanted to see the cruise ship, we only stopped for a quick bite and were anxious to ge to the dock. Pamela offered us, and the other 2 couples rides down, as the town was so busy she cautioned us all not to take our cars. We all chose to walk (her B&B was about a 10 minute walk to the center of town) and quickly realized she gave great advice!

The B&B was absolutely beautiful, very clean, and had lots of parking for guests. Pam knows the town history inside and out and recommended tourist stops, and places to eat (eat at Trade Winds, yummy and great prices!) to us all. She's a fabulous cook, and cooks breakfast to your liking, and offers travel routes and places to stop and see when you tell her what your next destination is.

Pam went out of her way for us and demonstrates that she really cares for her guests. We had purchased some Titanic stuff while we were in town, and forgotten it at her B&B. When I e-mailed her to see if she would be willing to ship the items to me in Canada, she graciously complied, and sent the package to me at her own expense. She was immediately reimbursed by me of course, and I remain very grateful of her effort for a guest she knew for only 1 day. When you stay with Pam, you're treated like a friend, not just a customer, and for that I highly recommend her if you're planning a trip to Cobh!

Delightful family run guesthouse just outside the pretty, historical town of Cobh, Co Cork. Greeted with a warm smile and offer of tea and home baked scones we knew we were going to enjoy our stay. This immaculate period house has large airy rooms with tasteful furnishings. Our bathroom was a little small but spotless and lovely Molton Brown toiletries and cosy fluffy towels. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast complete with gluten free bread. Wished we could have stayed longer than our one night but is top of the list for future visits to the area.

Room Tip: I didn't see all the rooms but I'm sure they are all equally pleasant.
