Fran and Alan were the perfect hosts - the cottage was a joy! We had great weather and cannot rate them or the cottage highly enough

“A wonderful, relaxing place to stay to enjoy the magic of West Cork.”
Reviewed 22 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Grandparents, parents and little baby spent a lovely, relaxing week in beautiful Ancaire Cottage. We felt heartly welcommed by the hosts and were stunned by the pristine cottage's interior and beautiful garden. Nicer than what the photographs show. Lovely landscapes and walks in the area and a good place to stay to explore what West Cork has to offer. The only "minus" was that the internet connection was a bit unstable. Highly recommendable!

“Brilliant in every way”
Reviewed 12 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Just back from Ancaire. We had a lovely holiday in a beautiful place and were very sad to come home.Fran and Alan are great hosts and provide a slice of heaven in Ballydehob. We will be back next Summer! There is nothing I would change about this cottage or it's friendly owners.

“What stands Out? Host commitment to providing a good service”
Reviewed 13 February 2014 for a stay in August 2013

Like most families, we were looking for an affordable holiday home for the summer holidays. A place you'd like to treat as home for the duration and safe for the kids. Like all the other reviews Ancaire Cottage satisfied these requirements with plenty of room to spare. I could go on about the location, cottage, eggs for the kids who loved going to collect them each morning, but I'd rather mention Fran & Alan, who were the most lovely hosts you could ask for. It was the dedication to providing the best customer service they could. From the welcome pack, games for the kids etc, to the supply of new linen 1/2 way through our stay, and allowing additional family to stay over while we were holidaying in the area. Their local knowledge proved invaluable to making the holiday pleasant for all of us.

Thanks again
Mike/Darina & Kids

“We didn't want to leave!”
Reviewed 18 August 2013 for a stay in August 2013

We stayed at this house for a week and our only regret was not booking for two. Fran & Alan are warm and welcoming hosts and the cottage is beautiful, very well decorated and maintained. On arrival there was wine, fresh bread and scones and pates waiting for us. Our kids loved the cottage and going out to get eggs from the hens every morning, they also loved the cats. The cottage is situated between Schull and Ballydehob with loads to do in the area, as we have young kids that consisted mainly of beach visits and crab fishing. I cannot recommend this holiday rental highly enough.

“Stunning - a slice of heaven!”
Reviewed 1 June 2013 for a stay in May 2013

We have just returned from a week's stay in this beautiful cottage which is lovingly kitted out and maintained by the wonderful and friendly owners Fran and Alan. The cottage is incredibly homely with stunning views of Mount Gabriel from the bright and window filled kitchen. The furnnishings are of a high standard and everything you could possibly want has been included. We arrived to find warm scones and homemade jam/marmalade - after a long journey it was just what we needed. The garden is amazing and so well cared for - and so private - we had fantastic weather and we felt we could have been sitting in a villa in Spain or Portugal! We were incredibly chilled by the end of our week and our only disappointment was having to leave! We cannot recommend this cottage highly enough....do not miss out on the experience.
