“Wonderful Tour”
Reviewed 30 May 2014

We had a thoroughly enjoyable tour of the ruins, and old tombs, it is a beautiful setting for an old town. The walking tour was very educational, as well as enjoyable. It was a lovely day, and the ruins there are unforgettable. Who would have imagined that Saint Nicholas would be buried way out there.
The sheepdog show was amazing, that dog took off and herded his charges right where he was told to put them, with very few and very quiet commands. All four of us would highly recommend this tour. And the scones were vdelicious, we were told that the recipe was online, but I am still looking for it. Maeve did say she was convinced it was the using of buttermilk. All together a most enjoyable tour.

“If I remember nothing else about our trip to Ireland, I will forever remember Joe, Percy and Jerpoint Park”
Reviewed 4 May 2014

An incredible experience, one I will never forget. Joe, the owner, is an amazing Irish Gent! Thanks for the private tour and history lesson late on a Sunday. A "must see" stop if ever in Ireland. You will not be disappointed. It is also the final resting place of dear St. Nicholas (Santa Claus), Joe will tell you. If you are really lucky, you will also get to meet Percy, his wonderful chocolate lab. I could have stayed all day listening to all the wonderful stories and history of this incredible place.

“Splendid”
Reviewed 29 April 2014

We visited on Easter Monday and were treated to an hour-long tour by the owner. It was a delightful mix of history and geography around the remains of a medieval town where Santa is buried. Yes, THE Santa, St Nicholas of Myra. Time and money (€10 each) well spent.

“A True Gem!”
Reviewed 27 April 2014

We visited today (our third day in Ireland), and this is one of the major highlights! We were told about the Park at Jerpoint Abbey, when we inquired about St. Nicholas's grave (yes, that St Nicholas). We showed up late on Sunday afternoon expecting a quick look, but instead were treated to an hour personal tour by the owner. It was a fantastic mix of medieval town Ireland and modern rural Ireland. We had the site to ourselves, which was a welcome change from Clendalough earlier in the day. Definitely worth the time and the modest €20 tour charge!

Went to Jerpoint Park today, was really impressed with visit and guide - Sophie was her first day as guide - she was a mind of information. You could be just take back in time and imagine what the town was like back in those days. Definitely a must visit. Lovely countryside also.
