We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Ballyduff House, the drive up to the house is just the beginning of a restful and comfortable stay, Brede is a most welcoming lady and runs her home with her happy and helpful staff, the history of the fox hunt is evident all through the house even the stirrup cups as an ornament at the breakfast table, the blazing fire adds to the atmosphere of long long ago.
Breakfast in the dining room is just the perfect way to start the day..... followed by a walk around the grounds and stables, where a horse just arrived back from he's morning gallop.....
Don't miss out on a visit here
Thank you Brede

Perfect place in the heart of the Irish countryside. An impressive setting in a beautiful location. We felt like lord and lady of the manor. Service was excellent, place was spotlessly clean, bed was perfect and breakfast was amazing. Don't miss this gem!

Put simply and I can safely speak for the group of 7 of us who stayed here in early Nov 2016 we left a piece of our hearts here when we left. An amazing tranquil welcoming stately and homely stay is what you recieve here .Brede the owner is a truly warm hearted host who without needing to say makes you feel like you have just arrived home she has some lovely stories to tell and serves a beautiful breakfast in a true Georgian fashion assisted by her friendly waitress Amber. Acres of countryside surround this Georgian house with the river running through it. The views are outstanding and at night time as the grounds have no artificial light outside you are awarded a magnificent clear view of a Starry sky like I've never seen. Set a couple of miles outside Thomastown which has plenty of lovely bars and restaurants, you can do nothing but relax in Ballyduff house, In the beauitful Library with big open fire or sit reading in your room and admire the views from the windows. So tastefully decorated in Georgian period this House is Beautiful. I came home completely refreshed and I cannot recommend it enough for this reason. Our group will be regular visitors from here on. So Thankful for finding Ballyduff House.

We had a wonderful stay at beautiful Ballyduff House. From the moment we arrived Brede made us feel welcome and completely at home. Actually better than home, a real treat. The house is lovely and our room overlooking the river was my idea of a perfect bedroom. A very good breakfast followed by a walk around the beautiful grounds finished off a magical stay. I am looking forward to returning as soon as possible.
Thank you Brede

We stayed two nights in October and had a wonderful stay. The charming house was a beautiful country setting, the fall leaves were turning and we were fortunate with good weather. Brede, the owner is a fascinating woman and very friendly. Tea and cookies in the library by the fireplace was a treat and listening to the history of the house was very enjoyable. You are free to walk the estate and the cows in the field and the scenery are just picturesque. The room we had was very comfortable, warm and a perfect place to get away from everyday life. Breakfast was wonderful in the Dining room. We will definitely look to stay again when we return to the area. You can tell the owner has been doing this for a while as we had everything we needed and did not have to ask for anything.
