Myself and my two friends stayed in this hotel last weekend. We had a lovely stay with the highlight of our visit being the roof top bar with panoramic views on the lake. The cocktail list was extensive with plenty to choose from and I would highly recommend the "Strawberry Daiquiri".

The rooms were very spacious with comfortable beds and nice crispy bed linen.

The Food in the restaurant was nice but needs some work. I got the stir fry and the portion was small with little variety of vegetables. My friends got the sea bass and it was over cooked - again the selection of vegetables was small and consisted of 5-6 cubes of parsnip scattered around the plate. The deserts were definitely not home made. The choices on the menu were good but I thought €24 euros for a steak a little excessive.

The receptionist on both our arrival date and departure date was very friendly and helpful which was nice to see and this immediately gives you a good feeling for the place.

The bar staff were also fast and efficient and you were never left waiting to long to be served despite a big wedding party presence in he bar.

And last but by no means least I have to mention Martin - in the restaurant. Martin served us our dinner in the Brassiere he was excellent, friendly and efficient and was delighted to be getting feedback on our meal so he could pass along our comments whether positive or negative to the chef.

All in all we had a lovely experience and will definitely go back to this hotel again real soon.

Stayed here for 2 nights, it was delightful, the bar looks fab, food was very nice, But the best of all was the spa, out of this world, really fabulous, such lovely staff, lovely young girl about 17 working in the spa was a great help to me, my partner was feeling unwell and she made all the arrangements so he could be returned to our room, her name was Katie, so thank you, you can't beat a warm Irish smile , I'll be back again god willing

I was on a couch tour holiday of Ireland and the Lough Rea Hotel and Spa was the third hotel we stayed in as part of the tour. The hotel was fantastic really liked the modern look of the hotel lobby and room, the view from our room was breathtaking you could see the mountains and the water it was just lovely. Dinner was outstanding the service and the staff where fantastic and nothing was a problem. The bar was very welcoming and friendly I enjoyed having a couple of drinks with friends that I made on the coach. What can I say about the beds they are outstanding there is a memory foam mattress that you so into and you feel very relax I had the best night sleep. I would defiantly recommend Thai hotel to family and friends

As we had a job on a near bye power station we decided to stay in Loughrea instead of Galway, which made a our day and daily commute a lot shorter. The hotel has a large car park and a impressive frontage. The hotel receptionist was very friendly and was extremely apologetic about one of our rooms was not quite ready but as the bar was open it was not a problem. The room was a the front of the Hotel with a view over the lake and had everything you needed, For some reason the room looked to have had a mini bar at one time but now remove (I never use them anyway) The Hotel has a spa attached but we did not get the chance to use it. The hotel is well worth a look if you are in the area of Loughrea.

Room Tip: Reserve a table for dinner a the restaurant gets busy if there is a coach party staying.

We stayed here on a Lidl break for 3 nights. The hotel website was very impressive so we were looking froward to our stay but have to say was a little disappointed. Rooms were nice and spacious and clean. Bar had been recently renovated so that was nice. Breakfast room could do with the same. A bit dated and every morning at breakfast it looked like it needed a good hoover and clean. Breakfast was average and a bit unorganised. We ate in the bar restaurant on the 3 nights.Service on the first night was awful but this improved on the other nights. Food was lovely. Disappointed the new roof top terrace only opened at the weekend. Not much to see in Loughrea but we knew this so it was a good base for exploring Galway. All in all a nice hotel but have stayed in nicer.

The staff were friendly . The hotel is being refurbished and the reception was not quite finished but it was looking nice. The bedrooms were lovely clean and modern and the red colour gave it a lovely cosy feel. There was a large comfortable bed. The hotel did have a spa but it was at an extra cost of which we were not aware of until we entered the spa area. Usually in 4 staff hotels it's included in the price. We wanted to eat in the restaurant but we were told it was closed to hotel guests . We were told we could eat in the brasserie but there was nothing on the menu that we would have considered it was more a lunchtime menu. We could not get wifi in our room as we kept losing signal. The breakfast and service in the breakfast room was not brilliant for a for star hotel.

We stayed here when attending a wedding. Staff were excellent, food was excellent and for me the highlight was the ambience and the view from the roof top garden best enjoyed with their selection of craft beers and local produce. Rooms were comfortable and luxurious and hot rock treatment in the Spa not to be missed.
