Traveling from Ashbourne, County Meath to Corrofin, County Clare on a Sunday, I wasn't too excited about the food we'd find on the road. Well, Maggie Mays surely proved me wrong. What delicious food they had! Everything from the lamb chop to the salmon filet to the vegetable soup was amazing. We ate in the dining room upstairs, but they had a sizable pub downstairs, that, if we were staying near Loughrea, I would have liked to stay and have a pint in the pub with the lively bunch of locals. Great surprising find that day - I highly recommend this place to anyone traveling in/through Loughrea.

I've known of this pub for a long time but have never been in until today. All I can say is what a fantastic surprise. The area of the pub doesn't point to it being the venue that it actually is. The staff are very friendly and helpful the decor of the pub is modern but traditional and it's kept very clean. The food itself was freshly cooked hot and tasty. We were seen almost the moment we sat down and our food didn't take too long after our order went in. I might have over looked this place for many years, that won't happen again. Get stuff, keep up the great work

We thoroughly enjoyed our Starters / Main Courses when we visited on August 22nd - good was amazing and service was good, although they were a bit under-staffed that night - our Waitress was professional, but very busy. Would definately return if I'm every back that way again and I have recommended Maggie Mays to friends who regularly go to Galway
