We went there for 2 mights during our honeymoon and we had great time. The lady in charge was friendly and gave us a warm welcome. We didn't stay too much around to tell if their is anything nice to do close buy but we enjoyed the stay

A lovely welcome - lovely rooms - lovely breakfast. Barbara made us very welcome, nothing to much trouble. Rooms light and airy. Breakfast, plenty of choice. Our friends and us were made to feel very comfortable and at home.

This is a bed and breakfast with everything you could ask for. Barbara Kelly is warm, welcoming and will ensure your stay is all you ask for. The facilities and rooms are of the highest standard in comfort and cleanliness. The breakfast is delicious and the quiet location will ensure you will get a good nights rest to explore the beautiful scenery of the Connemara district. I highly recommend this wonderful bed and breakfast.

When I first saw all these stellar reviews, I couldn't help but doubt if the place was really all that awesome. But upon arrival, I can see why these fellow reviewers have rated it so highly. Woodlands B&B is an excellent choice for just about any traveller, especially those who are seeking the peace and tranquility of the Irish countryside! You might have been to Dublin and Cork, etc., but you haven't really had the taste of Ireland unless you've stayed here! :)

Mary was a fabulous hostess during our stay, and my friend and I completely looked forward to her breakfast during our stay - it was so sumptuous and probably the best meal we had in our days!! She's very hospitable - we had a bit of a screw up in plans so she helped us think of an alternative to suit our schedule and even rang all the people up for us to make a last minute booking. Moreover, because we didn't have a car, she actually went out of her way to send us to the city and fetched us back!! I can't express how impressed I am with this place - you can tell she truly enjoys what she does and she's really more than happy to help if she can!

For those who are very particular, you'll be glad to know the bathrooms are VERY clean, and extremely well furnished :) Your rooms will have fresh towels and a kettle to boil your own water! All in all, there's nothing much the room lacks.

Room Tip: Getting here isn't too easy, so call Mary for better directions It's in between Kinvarra an...

Barbara Kelly is a wonderful proprietress who is friendly and will help in any way she can! The rooms are immaculate and comfortable. The house is welcoming and situated in a beautiful town which is handy to Galway and great drives around the Connemara district. Breakfast is delicious. We could not have asked for better and other guests staying at the same time spoke highly of this B&B.

I don't know that we can say much more than what's already been said. The owner, Mary, was wonderful and really took care of us. She made us a delicious breakfast every morning, gave us lots of ideas and tips on where to go/what to see, and overall really took care of us. The home was clean & bright, very cozy and quiet. We were originally only supposed to stay one night but decided within an hour of arriving that we'd make it two! Great base location for exploring The Burren, Galway & the Aran Islands, Cliffs of Moher, and the northern Clare Coast. 15 minute drive from Kinvara - a great seaside city (excellent food at Keogh's in town, plus great trad & folk music in the evenings!). We will definitely be coming back here! Perfect for couples and honeymooners.

Room Tip: Book the triple ensuite if you can!

We would recommend this B&B to anyone on the west coast of Ireland. Mary is a fantastic host, welcomed us with open arms. Its a cute 3 room place, we were the only ones there, and she welcomed us with hot tea and cookies and a fire in the sitting area. She sat and chatted away about an hour with us and gave us great tips on the area, churches, and the best drives to get out to the cliffs of Moher. The breakfast she made was fantastic. Its located on a farm, super quiet and night and very cozy. The directions we had were weak, so if you choose this place make sure to contact Mary directly for better directions. Quickly: if driving south from Galway, once in Kinvara the road splits after Sexton's pub, make a left and then keep to the left again at the Y in the road. About 3 miles down there is a 4-way intersection (and there will be a sign for Woodlands B&B), turn right, and another few miles down the way you will see another sign leading you into the long driveway. It is actually located between Kinvara and Gort. If you think you have missed it, trust me, you just haven't gone far enough.
