We booked a table for 4 the day before, still had a wee delay getting seated, the small place was packed - a good sign anywhere selling food! With a large crowd service was a tad slow, but not an issue. Wonderful imaginative starters, everyone wanted to try everyone else's, followed by equally wonderful mains, and tempting desserts. The place does not look fancy, but the food is exceptional, the service may be slower than usual due to crowds and room, but if near Gort give it a try. Excellent value for money too

Even though we had booked a week in advance our group of five were seated at two odd sized tables which made conversation difficult. These tables were immediately inside the open door and the cold forced us to physically move the tables further in. The menu was quite limited. The staff member we dealt with made little effort to greet us, bringing our food without any effort at conversation or small talk.
The menu is limited, the quality of the food was poor and presentation was unimaginative.

after a long day slaving over hot ovens in our own bakery we happened to be in Gort and thought we would give the gallery a try, it looked so inviting from outside. we were not dissapointed !
though the place was booked out they managed to find us ( myself and my husband] a little table outside, perfect for a warm evening.
his steak was tender, juicy, and cooked perfectly. my platter with various meats cheeses and olives was delicious and beautifully presented.
Now it is desserts where most eateries fall on their faces and we rant about this each time we are served with yet another mass produced offering bought from the local cash and carry, but not so at the gallery. the baked white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake was gorgeous . at last a place that had got it all !
as to the service, friendly and efficient. thanks guys.

We arrived precisely on time for our table which was booked a few days earlier. Upon arrival we were told our table was not ready and were left waiting where we stood as the place is so small there is no option but to stand in the middle of where people area eating. After about ten minutes we were told to sit on a table in the corner which involved other people having to move to let us access out table. We were left a while to choose our starters from a selection which included a bowl of chips or even a 4 oz ramikin full of dry salty olives. Once we finished our starters we waited 50 minutes before asking a waitress if they had forgotten about our main meals the waitress said she would go and enquirer about our food . However she didn't return. Another 10 minutes passed and we once again asked why we hadn't received our food when clearly other tables had arrived after ourselves and were now leaving after finishing their meal . Our meals did eventually arrive after waiting an hour and ten minutes from completing our starters. It has to be noted that two of our main meals were fish salads which involved preparing and not cooking. I would like to add the lamb mezze was pretty tasteless. We finished the evening with deserts and requested the bill. The bill was in excess of what I expected to pay considering the slap dash approach they have to their customers. I handed a bank card for payment only to be told they only accepted cash . It seemed that nobody was interested especially when I tried to voice my concerns and the fact that I had travelled from mainland uk
