This is a wonderful resource.

The visitor centre is fascinating. The stories and the recreation of the rooms are really well done. And informative.

The cafe is lovely, the outdoor area at the back is wonderful to sit in if the sun is shining.

But the best bit are the gorgeous walks. It was so nice to walk while inhaling the smell of wild garlic and bluebells. There are a range of different walks and all of them are lovely. The only let down was the poor signage. We had to resort to consulting google maps on our phones at one stage.

I would return in a heartbeat.

Coole Park, close to Gort is a beautiful park with a stunning lake, well laid out walks and a picknick ground.

Stopped off in Coole Park on my way from Galway to Limerick as wanted to capture some photographs. The grounds are excellently maintained and there is a nice tea room that offers nourishment after a brisk walk. A wonderful amenity for which entry is free of charge to the public. Ample free parking also available

There are a lot of trees cut down for a nature reserve, which is always sad to see. Trail signs missing in a few places but overall a very nice place for a walk. The lake is lovely. Enjoyed it.
