head up to howth head for a walk along the cliffs and enjoy the view across Dublin Bay, provided there is no fog! Then head down to the Summitt Inn and enjoy lunch or a pint or two

I've always liked Howth Head. Spectacular view - no matter what the weather is like.

My wife and I had taken a break to the Ashbourne hotel about 25 miles away it was not very nice so we decided to take a run out in the car. I had stayed in Howth 15yrs ago in the Deer Park hotel but did not really have much time to have a look at the sites. On arrival in Howth it was buzzing with folk and extremely busy. Luckily I had brought my good camera as the site we saw next was beautiful, two large seals were in and around the fishing boats looking for tip bits. A fisher man told me that on occassions there could be upwards of sixteen or more seals in the harbour at one time. Unfortunately there was a health and safety sign stating that you were not allowed to feed the seals in case you fell in to the water. I captured some lovely pictures and the whole town is very friendly clean and all the we shops and cafe`s were full of people. A real beautiful place to visit and I will be going back soon I hope.
