Nice and clean and easy to find. Gracious and informative host with advice on local sites to see. (Skyview Drive near Clifton, and Kylemore Abbey. We did make a detour to see and it was well worth the change in our itinerary.

Room Tip: Take a drive to the wild side of Ireland -Skyview Drive.

Made to feel very welcomed by Gerry who was "left in charge" for a few days by his wife. He did a wonderful job as host with his breakfasts a delight and which were served in a most delightful airy setting. Found the accommodation and general presentation of a high standard. When he knew that I was interested in golf he arranged a favourable booking time at Oughterard Golf Course at which he is a member and as we found out, together with his son, runs the restaurant at the Club.He even suggested quite walks for my wife whilst I was golfing, a man of many talents. Our experience at Carrown Tober House and Oughterard was most enjoyable and we would highly recommend a stay at this B & B. My wife and I dined at the Club and Gerry's skills go far beyond just breakfasts. Bob and Glenda Sydney Australia

Room Tip: We stayed at the front right hand side of the house which had a nice view over the garden and was nice and airy. However believe any would have been nice.

I have stayed at Carrown Tober House on holiday for the past two years and will continue to go back. Gerry and everyone is so welcoming. I instantly feel at home. My room is always clean and the food is excellent. They will definitely go the extra mile for their guests. But, guest probably isn't the right word, since you automatically are made to feel at home and part of the family. Can't wait to go back next year and every year after that.

We had a beautiful nice room and a spacious bathroom in this house but the room was not clean. There was dust and hair lying around and the girl who was there for cleaning did not do very much as surf the internet. The breakfast was very poor, only toast and marmelade, cereals and 2 yoghurts. Luckily the town was not far away, so we spent lots of time over there. The boat inn is a very good restaurant to go to. The owner of the house gave us a map and advice for a day trip which was very nice.

We first stayed here 2 years ago, and are pleased to say little has changed. Comfortable room & immaculately clean. Great Irish breakfast. Wonderful Irish hospitality from Jerry & his wife. Easy walk into Oughterard & a good location to explore the Connemara.
