Description: The pub is open all year round from 10am until late. Food is served by Kieran's Kitchen from March until beginning of November. Last orders at 8.45pm. In spring 2011, Peter Curtin embarked on a new endeavour: He set up the Burren Brewery in the Roadside Tavern in Lisdoonvarna. The building, which in 1865 started off as a pub, then was expanded into a bakery, now also harbours a micro-brewery under its roof. His Burren Gold (lager), Burren Red (ale) and Burren Black (stout) are one of only three micro-breweries mentioned in the Lonely Planet Global Craft Beer Guide! At the same time it is a restaurant - Kieran's Kitchen - serving the best food from locally sourced ingredients. It is also a renowned music venue for traditional music with musicians gathering here every night during the summer months.

The Roadside Tavern is part of a trio of food establishments including the Roadhouse and the Smokehouse, all in Lisdoonvarna and all using the same parking lot down the road. This is the full fledged pub with bar and dining rooms and evening music. The food is delicious and includes the usual Irish specialties and some sophisticated surprises. It is all well prepared and presented and the music is great. It's worth a visit.

The service here was perfect from the moment we arrived. A very lovely pair of waiters served us and were full of chat. We had the tapas for starters which I would highly recommend! Then goulash and risotto for our main courses. The food was fantastic! Would definitely go again!

We had a lovely meal here.
When we arrived, the pub was packed - no available tables. So we had a drink at the bar. We did not have a long wait until a table opened up.
I had the hot smoked salmon - yum. Highly recommend. My husband had bacon and cabbage, which was also excellent. Reasonably priced. Live music. A great night out. I would recommend

We stop here every time that we're down in West Clare - this is exceptional pub grub with a lovely selection of in house brewed beers, a decent pint of Guinness and fresh seafood. Pop next door to the smokehouse, a related business, for some delectable smoked salmon and one of the best pizzas you'll ever eat.
