I wish I would have known more about Lisdoonvarna when I was planning this trip. The Royal Spa was nice and clean, it is in the middle of town, so the location is great. After spending just a short time here I wish we could have stayed longer, but we will be back someday.

On a street jam-packed with B&Bs and hotels, I can't help but think we could have done better than this. The rooms are quite large but they've seen better days. Our bathtub looked like it had been kicked in and though it was generally clean, the overall feeling of the place was that it was a bit past its time. The rooms were noisy from the clatter on the street and stuffy even with the windows open ( though the latter was the symptom of the weather). The wifi was present , but not one of the party could get it to work systematically, including the IT guy.

That being said, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was tasty and included a choice of full Irish or smaller meals, including French toast (which I had- it was tasty).

But for the breakfast, I probably would have given this place two stars. I would definitely try a different place next time, but it's not awful enough to say not to go there. I just think it could all have just been a bit better.

We stayed for a couple of days for a bike tour, and we would definetly recommend it.
The rooms where spacious and clean. The breakfast was great, you can choose irish breakfast, french toasts or pancakes.
Friendly and familiar staff.

this hotel is an older property with charm. the staff was great, and we had an excellent evening there... it is in the middle of town, with parking~ the room was comfortable, not fancy but with a sweet old world charm. great late nite dessert~ and tea....
it was on the way for us between places, and thus very convenient for us..

We liked our stay in this hotel.
Free parking at the back and very close to pubs and restaurant. No drive means a second beer........
Rooms are not very big but very comfy and clean.
Breakfeast is very good with extended menu to choose from for everybody.
I recomend this hotel.
