This hotel manages to do something quite difficult - charge you just €60 yet still leave you feeling short-changed on leaving.
My room was OK if very dated. The bathroom needed a total overhaul in my view - it had a smell and really needed freshened up. The lounge, reception area and the staff were all very welcoming. However guests really should not have to stand outside waiting for a cleaner to open the locked front door if returning after midnight. Breakfast was OK but poached eggs should not be served on burned toast. I was on business so my stay was purely functional and nothing else. Had I been on holiday or had family with me I would have been pretty disappointed. Sheedy's hotel next door is more expensive - but the difference has to be worth it.

Spotlessly clean, excellent food, staff very polite and helpful with brilliant service.
This little town deserves it's reputation for great live music. Most Ejoyable Thanks! No ATM so bring enough cash and don't worry too much about the weather. Visit the cliffs of Moher visitor centre, they've spent 30 million on development..

Stayed when touring Co Clare. With €29pps you couldn't go wrong. Hotel was old but well presented. Breakfast was plentlful. only down side was there was no staff in the bar and also servered cans of cider. Lisdoonvarna was a bit disappointing, no ATM also.

We were part of a National Holidays coach tour...it seems the hotel is used by varying coach tour operators..... which makes it a busy, lively environment..... but strangely not at all noisy.

The hotel itself is of an oldie worlde appearance with a nice character and is very clean.

As has been said the staff are extremely polite, courteous and very helpful.

The breakfast/dining areas can be a little cramped but nothing overly restrictive.

Food choice is a limited but very nice and there's no problem asking for extra helpings.

Night life at the hotel wasn't to our taste but there's a limited number of hotel bar's and pubs around with live music.

One gripe would be coming down to breakfast or dinner with the smokers congregating at the ash trays at the front door. Not very appetising. The ash trays need to be moved away from the front entrance.

Conclusion:
It's a good base to travel from. Comfortable stay.

Room Tip: Rooms over looking the street may get some road noise but in fairness it was warm so we had to have the windows open.

I found this hotel perfectly reasonable, WiFi a bit patchy, our room was clean and well presented. Bar was expensive and breakfast a bit slow and small. No hesitation in recommending this hotel as we only paid €29 each. Bring cash to lisdoonvarna as no cash machines in town & no cash back given.
