We stayed in this hotel to break up a long drive across country, so price was a main consideration. I think this hotel provides great value, both for quick stopovers, and for longer stays in the region. There is actually quite a lot to do in the midlands- who knew? Our room was small but had everything we needed, tea & coffee making facilities, iron & ironing board, air conditioning, really nice bathroom (shower only), and no noise pollution from the busy night club once the window was closed. Staff are young and friendly, and there was a great buzz about the place as we stayed on the tri-athlone weekend. We had paid for room only but paid €6 each for a good breakfast which was very reasonable. Free car parking in the centre of town is a bonus also.

Great weekend away in this hotel in May - there was a group of us together. Early check in was greatly appreciated - lunch was great! service very prompt. Rooms were very clean, and spacious. Reception were very helpful throughout the entire stay which was great to see!

Stayed here for thurs & fri night in July with my parents. First impressions of staff weren't great. Receptionist quite abrupt & not friendly upon check in. The girls serving in the Sandwich bar in the hotel bar were the same, abrupt & rude at times. The staff in the bar that night serving food & working behind the bar were lovely though, very friendly & efficient. Again, at breakfast the next morning, the girl who greeted us was abrupt & other guests also commented on her attitude. Hotel has a great location. Bar food & breakfast were lovely, the pancakes were fab! Rooms clean & basic. Air conditioning was great. Only bad thing in the room was the filter in the shower base. It was filthy & needs to be taken out & cleaned properly. Shower was lovely & powerful. The girls cleaning the rooms were nice & friendly. There was a Triathlon on that weekend & the hotel rang me a few days before my stay to inform me of road closures etc which I thought was very professional & helpful. It's the little things!!

This hotel is in a great central location and great value for money. The rooms were fine, nothing special but cant complain about them really. The bathroom was lovely and shower was nice and powerful. The parking situation isn't great, but overall, for the price, you can't go wrong.

I can only echo the previous comment..... I was warmly welcomed on arrival by Leonie at reception, checking in was painless, after a couple of hours in my room, I got a call to inquire if everything was ok, something I really appreciated, and that I haven't found before.
