This location is full of character. I attended as a groomsman for a wedding. I could go on forever about this hotel but I'll simply say this - a stunning location, with fabulous views, friendly staff, beautiful bedrooms and excellent staff. We recently stayed at Wineport Lodge and immediately regretted having to leave. The warm welcome, the atmosphere, the 180 degree view over Lough Ree, the food, service etc etc are all you could wish for. We dined in the restaurant the first night 10/10. The second night we went for a bar snack which was also served in a beautiful section of the restaurant.
Homely, real fires were in abundance but if there was one tiny downside, we found it odd having to take luggage through the bar/lounge area. The receptionist immediately gave us an informal alternative route.
We will be back.

Had a lovely stay in the Wineport lodge - the staff could not do enough for you. The room I was in was lovely with a fabulous view across the lake. Dinner in the Restaurant was delicious and great value. Spa treatments were great value and very relaxing. I especially liked that breakfast in your room was included. I'm already looking into my next visit.

We popped in here for some lunch in the bollinger bar in september. Service was very slow and, it felt like the place was deserted. Disappointing as I was really looking forward to being blown away after having heard all good things. Average seafood chowder. The cheeseplate was nice, as are the views onto the lake.

What struck me the most was your warm friendly staff, very rarely will you find such a genuinely friendly team. The view was enchanting. It was such a calming feeling having a beautifully cooked lingering breakfast as the rain and wind battered the building and the lake became turbulent, simply stunning.
