I was part of a group that spent a weekend in the Glasson Golf group recently. The golf course was the main attraction, and it's worth the trip alone for the views from the 14th & 15th.
Hotel staff were very friendly & efficient, making it very easy to organise the weekend, everything from rooms, meals, tee times & transport. Rooms are spacious & comfortable in this hotel. Only downside was the main restaurant was closed due to rennovations.

Myself and some friends stayed in Glasson Golf Hotel for a lovely sunny weekend in April. the hotel had advised me that there was some renovations being carried out but they would not be intrusive or affect our stay. I was a little worried about what I would find but It posed absolutely no inconvenience. The weather was fine and the views from the hotel are truly beautiful. Rooms were very spacious and clean. Service very good and staff very friendly and helpful. "I'll be back"

From the moment of check until check out 3 days later we were treated royally. Over the weekend we enjoyed a breathtaking boat trip on the lake, a round of golf on an amazing course, and leisurely walks in the surrounding countryside. There was something special for each and every one of us.

Food was excellent from a hot buffet style breakfast to a relaxing and most enjoyable dinner.

But most of all, the one thing that made the big difference to our stay, was the level of service received by us from all the staff. It was this one special difference we all decided that really made our stay so special.

It is certainly an hotel experience not to be missed.

We stayed in Glasson over Easter for a family celebration. Even though we had heard it was a lovely hotel, it exceeded our expectations. Bedrooms and bathrooms are very spacious and well appointed. FANTASTIC setting with wonderful views of the lake. Staff members were extremely helpful and friendly. Looking forward to a return visit and to seeing the hotel when all the work is done and the new bar area etc is completed.

Booked the weekend in January 2010. Going from its description on the Internet the Hotel looked great a highlight for us is always the dining and the Dining room appeared excellent,
To our horror the hotel was undergoing major reconstruction, there was no proper Bar and the restaurant was tiny room entirely unsuitable for the purpose. There appeared to be no proper kitchen and I suspect a beedroom had been adapted for this purpose.
The Meals served were of a poor standard and the Staff mixed our orders with with other diners. Despite management trying to tell us we had been informed of the situation at the hotel we had not .
I spoke to the Duty Manager on leaving. He was quite dismissive of our complaints until I informed him I intended to deduct Euro50 from my Bill (which I did) at which he appeared to take some notice but offered no apology for the situation.
You have been warned.

We are disappointed to hear your feed back from your recent stay. You are indeed correct in relation to the Tempoary status of our Bar & Restaurant. I assure you that it is not exemplary of our normal level of product & service and hope it will not detract from you returning to us in the future to celebrate the opening of our new Restaurant, Bar & Banqueting facilities with panoramic views over Lough Ree.
I would look forward to the opportunity to personally oversee your future return which I can guarantee will be a far more positive and exemplary experience of our Hotel.
Yours Sincerely
David Cahill
