I stayed in this hotel for one night in mid April with my boyfriend, the room was really hot and stuffy. The heating was off and we had the window open and got a fan from reception but it was still too hot to sleep. When we said to it reception staff the next morning they just said that its not even summer yet. as though it couldn't be hot when it's not summer.

Stayed in Athlone Springs last weekend, overall nice experience.
Location well, we have researched it properly before booking, so no suprise there. Area is calm and easy, so we werent bothered.
Free wifi in rooms was pretty poor and loosing signal constantly, reception staff very polite and helpful.
Rooms were descent size and well equiped, bathroom spotless clean and beds very comfy. We haven't used any sports facilities, but they seems to be great and very well maintained.
Breakfast was really tasty, we have enjoyed the proper hot Irish breakfast along with huge selection of cereals and juices. Service was excellent!
For us the only down fall was temperature in the rooms, it was absolutely roasting due to big glazed facade, but it was a very bright and sunny weekend afterall. TV in the room could be bigger. Bottom line is that we have enjoyed hotel and we will comeback in near future!

I attended a Christmas Party night in this luxury hotel with a group of 40 work colleagues in December 2010. The hotel offers excellent food served by very friendly, attentive & helpful staff in very relaxed surrounds and tops the table in terms of value for money. This is one hotel I do want to go back to, maybe for a relaxed mid week or weekend break.

Room Tip: Located in Athlone just off the motorway.

We went for a quite weekend away to celebrate our anniversary, to our disappointment we found the hotel located in an unfinished industrial estate. The interior of the Hotel was fine and the staff were very welcoming. The bedroom which when i booked i asked for a superior room was average nothing superior about it, so i rang reception to ask could i book a standard room for less money i was told all their rooms are superior, which i think is very misleading because they are basic standard rooms.
The view from room was of a ford garage and a pile of muck behind where there is an unfinished foundation dug!
The lighting was very poor, especially in the bathroom, difficult to get ready or even for a man to shave. There was no bath in the bathroom and the ventilation was very poor also, when i had shower the steam was still on mirror 20mins later and that was with bathroom door open. The light over the safe was blown so it was also hard to see combination.
The bar food was nice if not a little pricey, compared to town prices, the evening meal was lovely and the staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was also very nice.
The gym and pool were really good we went in evening so not busy and very relaxing, changing rooms very clean.
Overall the hotel is of a reasonable standard but location, views and bathroom let it down, fine for business not a romantic getaway.

Stayed here for the third time for two nights and decided to upgrade to the Manhattan suite. The room was both comfortable and very clean. The staff again at the hotel were all friendly and helpful. Had dinner in the hotel the second night and found it delicious - well cooked with good sized portions. The gym was well staffed and had the pool to ourselves, unfortunetly the steam room was not working for the two days. Had a really nice relaxing two nights here. One minor quibble is that for the second time in three visits no Coors Light on draught due to a delivery failure but all in all a great time was had.
