Arches B&B
Ranked #1 of 12 Glengarriff B&B and Inns
Reviewed 26 June 2014

The Arches was by far our favorite B&B during our 2 week trip to Ireland. Roseena greeted us at the door with an offer of tea and delicious homemade bread and cake upon our arrival. What a relaxing way to start our visit in Glengarriff after a long day of traveling! Then we found that the B&B was within easy walking distance of town and all the shops and restaurants. The next morning our stay only got better when we came down to breakfast and saw all that Paul and Roseena had prepared for their guests at breakfast. In addition to the traditional full Irish breakfast there were several different kinds of homemade breads, meats, fish, cheeses, and cereals. There was more than anyone could possibly eat and all of it delicious! Thre's only one word to describe this excellent B&B - perfect!

My wife & I stayed recently for a night in Glengarriff. The welcome was excellent as the owner showed us around the property before taking us to our room. The room was spotless and smelt fresh as was the en-suite bathroom. There was refreshments available also in the room. We were offered tea or coffee while we got ourselves sorted. The breakfast was fantastic and very well presented. Cereal, freshly cut fruit, smoked salmon & mackerel & cheeses and then the cooked breakfast. Very reasonably priced. Oh, I forgot to mention the pool at the side of the property. Overall, very impressed and would recommend to a friend/family member.

Excellent from start to finish. We were shown round the property to make sure we liked it and then the owner gave us tea and cakes. The room was spotless and the bathroom was excellent. But the best thing about the whole experience was the breakfast. High quality cereals, croissants, bread, cheeses, fresh fruit, smoked salmon and then a full cooked breakfast! It was better than any hotel and the hospitality was great. I really do recommend this place if you are in the area.

I stayed for two nights and didn't want to leave at all. Beautiful house, excellent facilities and a welcoming, calm and warm atmosphere. It was the best experience of a B&B that I ever had to date. The breakfast was delicious and the presentation and variety of food was an invitation for both the eye and the taste buds. The icing on the cake was the warm and friendly welcome from the hostess and the host. A visit to the Arches is a five star experience in every aspect. Not to be missed when visiting Glengarriff!!!

Welcomed with coffee on arrival which is always good especially as we had cycled there.Breakfast had to be seen to be believed. Such an array of different food. Our rooms were very comfortable and well stocked with little extras. Very convenient for walk along the water and for local pubs. Hosts able to recommend where to eat in the evening.

Beautifully decorated house, spotlessly clean & comfortable. The breakfast was a feast to behold, plenty of fresh fruit, cereals, juices, smoked salmon, breads plus the option of a full irish if we were able for it, which we were'nt. Would definately recommend The Arches.
