Staff very helpful and friendly, but beware very noisy at night (not the staff). Few problems receptionist apologised lift out of order caught fire day before; no tv reception in bedroom; bedroom very warm and stuffy, had to leave window open at night which didn't help with the noise, 3am still people outside in street singing and shouting. Hotel/public Bar at one end and Night Club (only on a saturday) at other end with hotel in middle.
Nice breakfast with friendly female staff member serving.

Room Tip: None that I know of. If you want a good night sleep don't choose this hotel

We stayed for one night and the hotel was fine, worth the money bed and breakfast. The hotel is in the middle of Dundalk, near restaurants and traditional bars.

Hayley on reception had good local knowledge, which we needed as it was our first time in Dundalk. She advised us on the best places to eat.

Breakfast was good full Irish, great start to the day!

Overall we would stay there again, as it is not expensive and the staff are so friendly.

I have been staying at this hotel every week since last October for one night per week, one two week period and two single weeks. My first impression was not good....in fact I wanted to get out and never see the place again. However, it really is a little gem, if you can get past the very thread bare appearance. Rooms are spotless, beds comfortable, location in centre of town excellent, car parking...okay. Don't expect to be dining there....apart from breakfast which is really very good. What makes this hotel stand out from apparently better hotels is the STAFF. They are brilliant people! No problem is too big, very friendly, professional and they make one feel special. My frequent trips to Dundalk will be coming to a end soon but I will make a point of staying at the Imperial if I'm ever up there again. Price per night? Well you will be pleasantly surprised.

when arranging a meeting place for hens prior to taxi for airport and surprise for bride to be asked hotel if flash dance group could appear (considering staying for 1 drink)
when bridesmaid (chief organiser) arrived beforehand receptionist showed her to room where suitcases could be stored and also separate room where food (cupcakes) could be left.
staff decorated an area for hens with banners and balloons and ensured a great start to the hen party. cocktails were given to all hens.
Considering no money was made by the hotel and the thought and consideration by the staff was outstanding congradulations and thank you
