The Staff in this hotel are Excellent. We could not fault them in any way. The food was good, the only thing was the Breakfast price , 16 euro per person. a bit pricey. Lots to see and do in the area. The town of Dundalk has great chatacter and charm and it only a few minutes from the hotel. Also worth a visit is the cooley mountains . Only about 15 minutes drive. Take the carlingford road . You will get a great view of the mourne mountains across carlingford lough.

Room Tip: Always look for a room with a view of the sea.

Stayed in this hotel for weekend 3 nights bed and breakfast. Hotel was a little difficult to find. The staff are really nice, friendly and helpful. The rooms are spotlessly clean and modern and the bed is really comfortable. The bathroom had both large shower and separate bath. The only downside of the stay was that there was no entertainment at all. Televisions in the bar had sport on them with no volume and there was music in the background but was so low we couldn't distinguish what it was.

Stayed here with my husband and one of his managers who were on a business trip. It was arranged for me to accompany them to check out the area and look into finding a house, job etc as there was a prospect of moving to the area for my husband's work. First impressions were great. The hotel had plenty of parking spaces and the staff were all very fiendly. My husband's and my room were on the 6th floor and there were great views over the Mourne mountains and over the sea. The room was spotlessly clean and spacious, as was the bathroom! Enjoyed a few good soaks in the bath, and there was also a large walk in shower (a novelty to us as our one at home is tiny). The food was excellent. Both dinners in the bar and breakfasts in the rooftop restaurant were second to none. I also enjoyed the views from the rooftop restaurant immensely due to the great weather. Due to a medical condition, I was unable to venture far while my hubby was at work, but took advantage of the great views and free internet during the day and spent most of the day just gazing out the window and enjoying the nearly all-day long winter sun shining into the room. The staff were also amazing when my hubby managed to break a light and trip the switch to all the power in the room on a very dark morning. Very quick rescue! The only drawback was the internet was wired so I had to sit at the desk when I wanted to use it. Wifi in the rooms would have been so much better. Highly recommend staying at this hotel and would return in an instant.

This hotel is on outskirts of Dundalk but has ample parking and walking distance of town. the hotel is also close to M1.

The staff are always lovely. Rooms in the numerous times i have stayed are always good. the food is brill almost too good. This hotel serves breakfast on it 14th floor so the food is not inly good but you have amazing views.

My wife and i stayed in the hotel on Sat 26th january 2013. We stayed and met up with four other friends.
We were met by a very friendly receptionist, who was helpful and polite. The reception area was very clean and modern. We stayed on the 2nd floor. Our room was beautiful, modern and cosy, the en-suite had both a shower and bath and it was spacious.
We then joined our friends in the bar were we had some drinks and a bite to eat from the bar menu. The food was tasty and reasonably priced and the barman was very helpful.
Our only regret was that we didnt eat in the roof top restaurant.

The only small downside was that it was too expensive to have breakfast in the hotel

Room Tip: Rooms on higher floors have brilliant views.

I stayed in the Crowne Plaza in Dundalk at short notice and it is a fine, clean, efficient hotel. Rooms are nice, breakfast was fine. Personne at reception, Shane, was there last thing at night and first thing in morning and was helpful and friendly and put me in s high up room with nice morning view. Two things that hotel should look at - €13.50 for soup and sandwich in room is nuts for this level of hotel. Room price was €84 including breakfast - I'd skip the breakfast if I stayed again - it wasn't worth ghe difference in price without. Having said that the view from the restaurant was spectacular even on a wet January morning. In summary, a good hotel but if I stayed again, I'd have better value by eating out.
