We called into the hotel on Sunday 8th Sept for lunch having eaten here once before mid-week. The bar area where they serve a Carvery was very busy which is a good sign when a lot of people are there. The food available was good, I went for the Roast beef while my wife went for the Bacon, the servers were efficient although I found it strange that she offered me 'stuffing' with roast beef however maybe they do that in her home country as everybody was offered stuffing. The portions of meats were excellent as were the fresh farm vegetables but were a wee bit skimpy on the mash and roast potatoes nevertheless the meal was ample and enjoyable. Really the only downside was the service at the bar, all we wanted was orange juice but service was so slow that we settled for glasses of water that were foc beside the carvery. Seemed to have quite a number of non-Irish staff as a number of times we heard other customers around us trying to convey messages to staff who didn't appear to understand.
Generally we had a good experience and will go back again as the food was good and that really was all we were there for anyway.More
