Stayed there Saturday night. After reviews i knew what to expect. There's a night club on the ground floor of the hotel so you really need to think before booking if you planning on having good night sleep don't stay here. But if you planning a night on a town it's perfect, just walk up the stairs after. I also knew that place isn't new but was disappointed about cleanliness of the room..especially after seeing how clean the main areas were (reception, restaurant and toilet) Spiderwebs with live spiders and fresh stains on windowsill and furniture from tea and makeup (specifically foundation smeared all over the chair which also had a broken leg). Stayed in 103 which had a lovely view of the roof and fans over the nightclub. Single glazed windows with broken glass. Also no remote for TV and by that i mean you can't control it at all (things you will not expect for €90 a night) Only power button on tv. With RTE2 on constantly on very loud setting. I would also recommend them changing the locks on all doors, toilet ones included, the one in 103 is not catching at all. Took as ages to lock the front door also. Staff of the hotel is lovely though and breakfast was nice also but finished at 10.30am really early for club goers who trying to get some sleep.
The place is perfect for stag night if you planning one.

Decided to stay here for the bank holiday weekend. First impression of walking into the hotel was how unbelievably dirty it was. The carpets and floors left a lot to be desired the curtains and window sills were thick with dirt and dust. I didn't even want to shower in the bathroom the toilet was not nailed to the floor. The noise level was unbearable and at one stage a very drunk man burst into our room as we slept. The breakfast service was so slow and brought out one at a time there were four of us mine even arrived out freezing cold. The glasses in the bar were so dirty you could not use them. The only upside were the staff were friendly but they should really bring up the standard of the whole hotel. I would never stay here again.

We visited this restaurant on the 4th July and I must say, the service was nothing short of dismal. We got seated and given menu's, one which was a crumpled sheet of paper, then were left on our own. 15 minutes later, after no one asking if we would like to order drinks or anything, we had to get someones attention to order our drinks and food. Over the course of the next half an hour we watched while other tables that ordered after us started receiving their orders before us, and we had only ordered a salad and soup for starters! I then asked someone where our food was, to which we then received a couple of minutes later. The main course came swiftly after. The food was of a good standard but the service was very very bad, the staff seem to be more concerned with cleaning tables than attending to their customers in the restaurant. I even had to alert a member of staff to a customer that had been trying to get their attention for about 10 minutes. Overall the food is over priced in comparison to the standard of food and service received. This was not a one off incident that night as we watched many other tables having the same issue. Very unlikely to return and most definitely not recommended.

On arrival it was right in the centre of clonmel. Reception staff were friendly and tried to accomodate a room for us which woudn't get the nightclub music noise. The rooms were notas dated as I had expected from the reviews with a nice bathroom. We did want to sleep as next morning we were setting off for a mad weekend in killarney but that thursday night I was not going to get it. The window of the ensuite (not double glazed) overlooked the smoking area which had 100s of drinkers there til past 3am. All in all its a nice place for 1 night at low cost with friendly staff but if you want to sleep not recommended.
