Not only is the service superb, the setting is like dining at a relative's house. The food is home cooked, not made till you order and they only have so many servings of what is offered on their handwritten menu which is created daily. We had your standard cottage pie...well, it was hardly standard. The flavor was amazing, the serving plentiful, and honestly, I ended up clearing my plate, but on any other day...I'd of had to share it. I walked away feeling stuffed like a Thanksgiving turkey. As they ushered out various plates from the kitchen, we were able to get a bird's eye view of all that they had to offer, I don't think what you order will leave you disappointed. If visiting the Rock of Cashel, you need to pay this restaurant a visit. The rest of the restaurants in town are far from decent, I don't care what the reviews say. Their tourist menus and exborbitant prices leave a lot left to be desired and one in particular offers a really crappy buffet that the tour books seem to push...can't figure out why. Maybe they never had a good meal before and don't know any better is about all I could come up with.
