We stayed at Joy's Rockside Inn so walked from our B&B - a great way to start the tour. Renovation taking place but still interesting - beautiful views from grounds.

Partly under renovation in June 2014, still this ruined cathedral and it's associated ruins are impressive. The history, the views, all were spectacular.

The Rock of Cashel was one of the most intriguing sites we visited. Start by parking somewhere in town, don't waste the money parking in the castle's lot. Then walk up the hill and enter through the old choir dormitory and walk around the ruins. My wife and I are not typically ones to take a tour, but the short (~30min) tour (included in price) of the place is well worth listening to. The guides give lots of information not shown elsewhere.
One of their main attractions is a sandstone chapel, which they are renovating by removing each block, drying, and replacing in the same place. If you appreciate history or enjoy geology, or simply want to have a picnic on a beautiful hill overlooking the countryside, don't miss the rock.

Very pretty historic site, although under renovation while we were there. There were a lot of neat places to look at, and quite a view from the top. It was pretty touristy and had a large gift shop below the hill. Also quite a trek up!!

Not far away from castle there is a small cafe - CAFE -HANZ !
It is a place to go to enjoy the best sea food for reasonable price.
Absolutely adorable chef - great food, nice people.
