Excellent tour guide telling us the history of the church and the rock it sits on. If you like history, this is not to be missed.

We had an amazing tour guide that gave us a very in-depth description of the castle and the its history. Bring your camera!

I called in to Cashel on the way back to cathe the ferry home, so time was a little tight. It was a glorious afternoon so the views were outstanding. The buildings themselves were fascinating and offered many photographic opportunities. I really enjoyed the whole experience.

The only problem I had was with the automatic barrier to exit the car park. The ticket refused to open the barrier, even though I had paid. I paid again and it did work the second time. Make sure you have cash - cards are not taken.

Also if you have mobility problems there are lots of slopes and steps to cope with.

These two points aside it really was a worthwhile excursion.

Despite the rain we enjoyed the Rock of Cashel. We were there less than an hour. The ruins are beautiful and the grounds are well maintained.

Castle is very nice. Take the tour: great discussions and explanations. The views are fantastic. Can see for many miles in all directions. Ask about the "Devils Notch". Worth a few hours of your time.
