Stayed here for one night recently having stayed here twice before years ago (in approx 2002 and 2005). Having returned so many years after my earlier visits I was delighted to see that it's as good as ever.

External area
This is a lovely guesthouse set in beautifully kept gardens. It has a large carparking area and views of the Rock of Cashel.

Internal area
A lovely entrance hall with sweeping wooden staircase. There is a cosy lounge and bright dining room.

Rooms
There are 12 bedrooms. We didn't hear any noise from other guests so the place appears to be well soundproofed. The room we stayed in was absolutely spotless with a lovely clean, nicely tiled ensuite. The power shower was really good. Very comfortable bed, nice bedlinen and plenty of towels. It also had a TV (which we didn't use). There is free wifi which works really well throughout the guesthouse.

Breakfast
Very good selection- cereals, fruit, toast, muffins, yoghurts, juices, traditional fry etc. Hostess Bernice is very friendly and helpful.

I would really recommend this guesthouse to anyone who wishes to stay in Cashel. The cleanliness and comfort is better than you would find in a lot of hotels. I will definitely be staying there again next time I am passing through Tipperary.

I stayed here 9 years ago, and had always wanted to stay again.

I returned on 18 July, and found that all of the positive reviews of Aulber House are still justified.

It's just outside Cashel, yet still close enough to walk into the town in two minutes. The rooms are super, and the selection and quality of food available for breakfast is amazing.

Bernice is extremely helpful, and has great tips on local restaurants and sights.

I'll stay here again, but won't wait another nine years!

We spent one night at Aulber House in late June, as we didn't want to travel too far from Dublin since it was our first experience driving in Ireland. Based on positive Tripadvisor reviews, I booked our room 6 months in advance of our stay. After spending the day visiting Kilkenny Castle and The Rock of Cashel, we made our way to Aulber House shortly before 6p.m. and were greeted warmly by Bernice. It was a Sunday and Bernice recommended places in town that we would be able to find something to eat. After settling into our room, we made our way into town and went to one of her recommended establishments.

The room was spacious, furnished with everything we could need, very clean and comfortable. The shower in the en-suite bathroom was powerful, which pleased us immensely. We had a room at the front of the house which offered us a view of The Rock. We made our way down to the breakfast room in the morning, where a few people were already eating. Breakfast was wonderful, and Bernice ensured that we had all we wanted.

This was our first B&B in Ireland and we had a great experience. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Room Tip: Rooms in front have a view of The Rock of Cashel

When Bernice found out we were on our honeymoon, she left us a card and some fruit after returning from dinner that night. Such a sweet act of kindness! Very clean rooms. My favorite B&B in Ireland and would love to return someday. Within walking distance of plenty of restaurants down town and serves a great included breakfast in the morning. Great view of the Rock of Cashel if you have a room facing the front of the building. Great price too! This is a gem that I don't want anyone to know about because I'm too selfish and don't want everyone to go here but really everyone should go here once in their lives!

Stay here. You will thank me someday.

Room Tip: Rooms on the front of the house have a great view of the Rock of Cashel that is lit up at night.

This is a rather grand guesthouse. However, there is a grand staircase and if old and having heavy luggage it is a bit daunting carrying up to rooms. However, the staff are friendly and accommodating, and the breakfast was wonderful. there is about a 10 minute walk into the town. Our taxi driver didn't know it, so take the address with you.

Room Tip: I don't know if there are rooms on the ground floor, but it was a struggle for us oldies to lug...

I stayed for two nights in Aulber House last week, to rest after a celebration and to prepare for a rather complex conference.
Everything at Aulber was beautiful...the house and garden, the breakfasts and bedroom (especially the ensuite power-shower),the proximity to Cashel town and closeness to rural walks, the hospitality shown at every time and the genuine sense of welcome from Bernice. THANKS

My friend and I stayed at Aulber House for a night on our way through Ireland recently, and I wish we had planned to stay longer. We loved our time at this wonderful B&B. The house itself was spotless and cozy, our hostess, Bernice, was friendly and so accommodating, and the grounds were beautiful. We even sat out in the gazebo in the garden and read as the sunset - Gorgeous! It's right on the edge of Cashel and only a few minutes' walk into town or to the Rock of Cashel. If you're heading to Cashel, we recommend this B&B!
