We enjoyed our stay at Rockville house. On arrival Patrick the host met me at the door and asked if I was at the right place. Right away you knew he was a joker. He was very good to us and I enjoyed his personality. He is a hard worker and in addition to the B&B he has a farm to take care of. The breakfast was good and his coffee was some of the best. This isn't quite the most fancy B&B but it is certainly very adequate. The Shower space was small and a large person may have trouble getting in and out. The power shower worked great.though. Patrick, under all his joking around is really a generous and good fellow. .After checking out he asked us if we wanted to leave our car in the parking lot while we toured the Rock

The house was right underneath the Rock of Cashel to provide great views and a convenient location for visiting the site. We ate a tasty breakfast and met some other nice visitors while we stayed there. Above all, Patrick was incredibly friendly and made us feel at home. We would definitely recommend this B and B

Central, warm, friendly. I was well fed and well taken care of. Patrick the host is friendly and out going and full of beans! It was a wonderful stay. I had two stays here, both upstairs and down. It was quiet and more than adequate.

Nice place to stay. The room was comfortable, breakfast was tasty, and the location is less than a five minute walk from the Rock of Cashel. As other reviews have remarked, Patrick is a great host and a funny guy.

One interesting note--breakfast is served at two large tables which seat six, meaning you may share a table with other guests. Most other places we stayed did not seat guests from other rooms at the same table. We enjoyed getting to know our neighbors, but it might be worth knowing in advance if you prefer a more private meal.

I have traveled from the US to Ireland nearly 30 times. As much as possible, I stay in B&Bs as I believe these experiences are much more likely to capture the spirit of the Irish culture and the people as compared to a hotel. Rockville has become one of my most cherished places to stop in Ireland. While this B &B is exceptionally clean, it is not a "slick" or "cookie-cutter" operation. It is quaint and lovingly decorated with family heirlooms and antiques. However, it is not primarily the decor which draws guests back to Rockville. It is the hospitality and great Irish wit of the host Patrick, as many other guests have attested to in their reviews. Nearly all Irish B&Bs will provide you with a decent bed and million calorie breakfast! Patrick goes far beyond this standard fare. I have seen him regale guests in such a way that has them in stitches. In addition to his great humor, he is also a very caring host. As of late, I have been bringing university students to Rockville as part of a study abroad program. Last spring I heard one of my students remark "Patrick is the nicest man I have ever met." While this may be somewhat of an exaggeration, I know that he makes this kind of impression on people. He really makes an effort to see that the visitors to his hometown enjoy themselves and feel at ease. Don't pass up Rockville for your next journey to Ireland. There are few "Patricks" in this world and it's a complete privilege to know him.

Quaint B & B. Very small, but clean rooms. Hot water not reliable. Owner Patrick, a character in himself. Very helpful and guided us to great pub for dinner. Also gave us info on "Rock of Cashel". Not classy but comfortable for a night.

Room Tip: Check out choice before booking.
