Came here with no expectations and expecting average food, but Jesus it was shocking, a ten year old could cook better, tortilla filled with just green beans and carrots??? Service was horrible, we were literally shoved into a corner until given a table but there were loads free, it really is an awful place, avoid avoid avoid

The steak. It's all about the steak. Steak and a pint. It may seem expensive, when you see the menu price, but the food is great, service is great and the pints are good too to wash down the steak.

I came in here on a whim for lunch. Prices seemed ok at €10.95 for a main course.
I sat down and looked at the menu. A man came over who I think was the manager (John). He just looked at me and said nothing. I ordered. He took the menu and walked away still saying nothing.
The food was just ok. I had roast beef. But what was the chef thinking by putting a white sauce over the vegetables while there was gravy on the beef.
As I was leaving a bus load of Italian tourists were coming in. I hope that this is their first place to visit because at least their dining experiences can only improve.

Whenever in Cahir we always end up having a couple of pints in the Galtee . It serves a lovely pint of guinness and it has a good selection of whiskeys. Also in my opinion it serves the best Irish coffee in Cahir. The staff are always welcoming and friendly.
