“Lovely hotel”
Reviewed 10 May 2014 via mobile

Stayed in the Wilton recently for one night. Lovely hotel, great location. Staff very friendly. Had a problem with first room they gave us but in fairness they had us moved to a bigger & better room in no time. It's our second stay @ Wilton & we will return.

Hello, we are delighted you enjoyed your stay again at the Wilton Hotel and pleased to note that once you bought to our attention that you were not happy with your first room you allowed us the opportunity to deal with the problem and in this case offer you an alternative room that you were happy with. We certainly look forward to seeing you again soon.

Kind Regards

My family came to visit me last week. They stayed 5 nights. We had 2 rooms. Both rooms were spacious and clean. The staff was friendly. They enjoyed a nice breakfast every morning.
Next time my family or friends come, I will put them in the Wilton!

When I travel to Bray I always stay at this hotel (formally The Ramada Hotel). You are first met at reception by friendly, efficient staff (staff have been with hotel for years so obviously nice place to work). The rooms are clean, spacious with lovely decor. The buffet breakfast will keep you going all day - but you will not be able to resist eating dinner - don't know who the chef is but food is always excellent and plenty of it. Haven't stayed here with kids for a good few years but if you are a family looking for a nice, clean reasonably priced hotel you will not go wrong booking here. Family rooms are very spacious and I believe kids under 10/12 stay free with breakfast included.
My latest stay was weekend of 26th April for 2 nights and I booked it through lidl breaks - what a deal - 2 nights B & B plus evening meal all for just €49 pppn - will definitely be back.

Room Tip: I always request a quiet room and have never been disappointed - The hotel is off the main road so t...

We stayed here with our family of 3. Lovely big room breakfast beautiful and staff went out of their way at dinner to ensure we had good seats and that we were comfortable. The dinner was lovely and prompt.

Stayed for one night in March. The rooms are very spacious and clean , as well as the bathroom. We didn't have the breakfast, so cant comment on the restaurant in the hotel. The location is out of the center so you either have to drive or take a cab, less then 10 min. Staff was very pleasant.

Stayed two night B&B in two rooms, one for me, one for my son. A bit tired in places but for the price it's understandable. The place was clean but not sparkling. Bedrooms large with a double and a single bed. Not the most comfortable of nights, mattress was dominated by springs rather than filling.
Breakfast was great on the first morning, excellent choice of hot and cold food and plentiful. Breakfast on the second morning was less impressive. It was busy, tables hadn't been fully set and the food selection was limited and cold. However when I asked for anything i.e. cup and saucer, milk etc. it was no bother for a member of staff to get them.
Reception staff were friendly and accommodating.

Room Tip: Can't help you. We had two rooms on either side of the corridor, one faced the inner courtyard...

I picked this hotel for no other reasons than it was near to where I needed to be and as an ex-Ramada property I figured it would be in reasonable condition. I have to say I was very impressed overall with the hotel and I would certainly choose it again. We booked a twin room which had a double and single bed, lovely ensuite (great water pressure!) and a slightly unfortunate view of their rear yard, traffic cones and all. The price was unbeatable and as this isn't a wedding type hotel we slept great the few nights we were there. Breakfast was lovely, for a small hotel the spread was very impressive and the surroundings of the breakfast room were nice and relaxing. On quieter mornings the food was cooked to order, otherwise it was a self-service buffet. We ate in the bar a couple of evenings and the food was of similar quality and very reasonably priced. A few small things to note - if arriving in the dark it's very hard to see this hotel from the road (it has a large sign that is black and not lit up...) and there is no in-room information at all (check out times, food times, menus etc.) so be sure and ask all the questions you need to at reception...or you may find yourselves hungry and 5 minutes beyond last orders for bar food before 9pm at night! Lovely hotel, hope it does very well as an independent venture. Lots of free parking too.
