On a recent trip to New Brunswick with our grand children we decided to stop at Grand Falls New Brunswick as we had promised ourselves many times over the years. We found the view of the falls spellbinding and the sheer power of the Falls overwhelming. The location has been developed as a park for visitors to take in the view and there is attached a cultural centre with appropriate guides and films to explain how the falls came into being. As it happened we had arrived in the middle of the Potato festival which proved to be quite a party. There are steel platforms with walkways which hang out over the falls while they are eminently safe construction and this gave our grand children quite a thrill. We stayed at a Motel which had a great view of the whole thing and though it was majestic it did not prevent us from sleeping very nicely. We will bring other relatives here again as it is a beautiful site which should not be missed. The entry fee to the visitors centre is very small and the guides are very friendly. There are a number of very good restaurants within strolling distance of the centre and there is ample free parking at the locale.
