On a recent trip to New Brunswick with our grand children we decided to stop at Grand Falls New Brunswick as we had promised ourselves many times over the years. We found the view of the falls spellbinding and the sheer power of the Falls overwhelming. The location has been developed as a park for visitors to take in the view and there is attached a cultural centre with appropriate guides and films to explain how the falls came into being. As it happened we had arrived in the middle of the Potato festival which proved to be quite a party. There are steel platforms with walkways which hang out over the falls while they are eminently safe construction and this gave our grand children quite a thrill. We stayed at a Motel which had a great view of the whole thing and though it was majestic it did not prevent us from sleeping very nicely. We will bring other relatives here again as it is a beautiful site which should not be missed. The entry fee to the visitors centre is very small and the guides are very friendly. There are a number of very good restaurants within strolling distance of the centre and there is ample free parking at the locale.

The falls and the gorge are exceptionel to view, the river has carved this very deep gorge for several miles, A must if you travel in the area.

Grand Falls, N.B. was an amazing place to visit. People there treat you like family. Great place to eat was Kat & Dan's, Zig Zag guides, Eric, Boyd, and Christine were extra special. Raymond, the Pontoon Boat guide was funny and made the excursion very interesting. The guides at the Malabeam Center were very helpful and very friendly. Extra special thanks to Denise LaFrance Dionne for putting this adventure packaqe together, We definitely would like to have a return visit, I highly recommend Grand Falls as a destination to visit.

We saw a brochure about this and love water falls so we made the time to stop by for a view. Even though it was June it seemed Spring was just unfolding so there was a lot of green all around. I took 34 pictures in short order, the beauty of each angle begged to be saved. It wasn't cold which was a blessing also. There is a large wood Indian carving also.

Arrived in Grand Falls on a Sunday afternoon. Like many country towns it was extremely quiet. The major feature of the town is the Falls and Gorge. The walk along the paths along the gorge was lovely. Snow still hiding away, thick undergrowth leading to lovely views of the falls, gorge and raging water.

A nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
