Beautiful cottage, kitted out for all your needs. Well situated. Teresa is lovely. We had great weather, always a bonus. Highly recommended.
We had a great holiday at this cottage. The owner Theresa is very helpful and the house has all the convenience, including washing machine, dryer, toaster. Very clean.
We are just back from 4 days staying in Hawthorn House, the cottage is situated on the Portnoo Rd just outside Ardara and very close to the beautiful beach at Narin. The house itself was lovely with everything you need for a cottage holiday there was even turf and matches to light a fire when we arrived although this was the only time we lit a fire as the weather was amazing. Teresa came round that evening to ensure everything was ok which was such a nice touch. Ardara is a great wee town with a small selection of shops, pubs and places to eat and the scenery and beaches in the surrounding areas are breathtaking.
We would definitely recommend Hawthorn House you'll have a fantastic break at this cottage.
The house is near ardara. A lovely friendly village right on the coast. too many pubs to mention but all welcoming. The scenery is fantastic . Perfect for scenic drives if the weather's not so good and great for walks when the weather allows.
The house is well fitted out. Warm and comfortable, about 3 miles from ardara but you may as well be in the wilds. Perfect peace and quiet .
Cannot recommend this cottage enough. Location is beautiful. Teresa has provided everything you could possibly need, even very unexpected things like having peat by the fire ready to light when we arrived. She is a pleasure to deal with, her directions were perfect and she even took the time to call by to make sure everything was ok for us.

We just finished spending 5 nights in the cottage about 4 km north of Ardara. Teresa is a fabulous host and provided everything we needed including turf for a fire (my first time with a turf fire...great!). The home is in a lovely setting on the side of a small hill overlooking a valley. The 5 room home was as advertised and included all we needed. The kitchen was well equipped including small coffee maker. All-in-all, we are very pleased and highly recommend it.
Just had a lovely stay at Hawthorn House.
The cottage is in a good location between Ardara and Portnoo on R261 near beautiful beaches and the Wild Atlantic Way.
The cottage is clean with plenty of towels provided and extra bedding for cold nights. Teresa had set a fire ready for us to light which was a lovely touch.
The kitchen is fully equipped with new cooker, fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee machine and washing machine.
Good place to stay while you take in the sites of this part of Donegal.
