“Fantastic beach and dunes”

Ranked #2 of 18 things to do in Ardara
Reviewed 14 July 2014

We spent an afternoon at this beach and it is fantastic with high sand dunes that the kids had a great time playing in and a long sandy beach leading to a set of caves to explore.

Maghera Beach is Definitely a Gem in Ardara's Crown, with it's Caves (which are Tidal), White Sand, Unspoilt Rural Beauty, and Wonderful Tranquility, it's A Must See For All Visitors to Our Town. There is a Small Fee for Parking, 2 or 3 Euro.

Lovely beach to walk on - tide was in so we didn't go in the caves but it was lovely and relaxing, and there was hardly anyone else there....

We visited Maghera beach while also going to see the waterfall along the way. The road is fairly narrow. The beach itself is beautiful- totally unspoiled and fabulous.
