A great test of golf especially if the wind blows. Keep it low and straight. Very friendly and helpful staff. The greens are difficult to read. Good value greens fees on Fridays, open singles competition. The views from the course are some of the best in Ireland.

Played the course with the boys after not having played golf for a few years. Found the price was a little high but the course quality is impeccable.
Service at the front shop was a little disappointing as we rented a cart and clubs, but nothing was ready found the clubs to be dirty and not cleaned prior to the rental.

The course is well situated right on the water and views from every tee box. Many good picture taking. The course was quiet maybe 10 golfers on the whole course. We had a tee time for 945 am and went off at 930.

Overall if staying in Galway it should be considered if you are looking for an amazing course and time out.

Played in 24 degree "heat wave" so very lucky!

saw the sign for Sunday Lunch at entrance and thought we would give it a try. car park fairly full but plenty of room for further parking. Outside could do with re painting and general tidy. At the entrance inside we were met by shoes thrown all over the place and a very unkept appearance. We entered the bar and there were approx 6 people sitting including a group of teenagers one without any shoes on. had to wait for service, Ordered coffee and pint of Guinness . lovely views over golf course from window seat. TV showing golf. Floor dirty, tables needed cleaning, Group of teenagers shouting to each other across bar they were joined by older gent who added to the shouting. Another person also entered bar without shoes, must be a new fashion in Oranmore.
seems to me that this place is uncared for which is a great shame as the location is lovely .
We did not stay for lunch. very disappointed.

This is my local club. I have been a member since it opened. The Christy O'Connor designed course is a test of golf for golfers of any standard. If the wind blows (as it often does here) its a real test. At the moment if you book on line and play on a Friday you can get out for 25Euro...what value. Great course and great staff.
