Spent a celebratory weekend here last weekend and absolutely loved the place, people and hotel. The hotel is old worldly and is so peaceful and relaxing, the views over the Bjurren from our hotel room was truly amazing, the staff are so welcoming and accommodating and nothing is too much trouble. The food in the restaurant is to die for, no wonder it won best hotel restaurant in ireland 2014 amazing food!!! We went on a guided walk of the Burren which the hotel organised for us and to be honest this was for me the highlight of the weekend, the guide was a fund of information and was great craic we spent 31/2 hours on the Burren and had the most fabulous afternoon thanks to our guide Shane Connolly and Gregans Castle hotel who organised it. I couldn't recommend Gregans Castle Hotel highly enough, if you get the opportunity to visit the Burren make sure you spent some time in Gregans Castle Hotel, I promise you will not be dissappointed!!!

This is my favourite place to stay .... Ever! It has all the ingredients for a top class guest experience without any of the razzmatazz of a 5 star chain hotel. The atmosphere is relaxed, informal country house style hotel in a unique location. The room we stayed in was excellent ( the Martyn as I recall) with a separate sitting room, four poster bed and even a small garden. Dinner was terrific but difficult to describe. Suffice to stay that presentation, ingredients and marriage of flavours was Michelin level. Breakfast was excellent also and all in all I feel that it is the ideal location for a wonderful stay.

Room Tip: I would imaginecthat all rooms are excellent however the Martyn was excellent

We only spent 1 night here, the hotel was booked by Irish Tourism group.
The hotel is set in a beautiful area between the Cliffs of Mohar and the Coonemarra area of Ireland. This is a place to go if you are looking for absolute peacefulness, there are no Tv's in the rooms, the bathrooms are lovely and the decor is traditional with a modern flare.
some of the rooms are a bit nicer than others, we had an issue with the shower that was rectified by moving us to another room within a half hour of reporting the issue. The small staff was very helpful and seemed to be able to do it all. the three young ladies that were working that night checked us in, waited on us at the bar and made up the new bed in our rooms.
The food is excellent here. the restaurant is closed on wednesday nights so be prepared to eat a small dinner at the bar area with sofa seating (my only complaint.. I prefer eating at a proper height table). Highly recommended if your looking to just relax, there isn't much to do around unless you have a car.

We went to the Castle with a group of friends who filled the whole place and had an extraordinary time with walking, reading, driving the coast and, admittedly were blessed with wonderful weather and jaw dropping views of the coast. But perhaps one of the most surprising aspects of the visit was the remarkable food - simply as good as we have ever had anywhere, five courses of imagination, flavor, just the right balance of things and served in perfect fashion by a staff who were friendly but not intrusive. We would sit every night and say "we can't imagine anything better" and then the next day, do it all over again. The chef is someone who deserves any accolades he gets - and has gotten quite a few. We came for the views, feeling of being embraced by a wonderfully kept up great house and left having all that, but still talking about the food and service. They were spectacular - and I am not easily drawn to superlatives.

My wife and I spent two nights here and enjoyed two spectacular meals. Service was top-notch from top to bottom, not stuffy but comfortable. We played croquet, gazed at the Burren, enjoyed drinks both outdoors and indoors by the peat fire, and generally wished we could stay longer—if someone else would pay. Overall, an easy five-star.

Beautiful grounds with gardens. Beautifully appointed spacious rooms. Beautiful views of the burren hills. Beautiful restaurant with diverse menu and wine list. Great in-house pub. This place has it all. History, atmosphere, luxury and service.
We've traveled to a lot of places, and Gregans stands with the best of them. With only 30 rooms or so, you get a lot of attention and service, yet its big enough to have privacy. We traveled with another couple and only ran into them when we wanted to.
Restaurant food is very good, but pricy. Seashore and town are 5 minute drive away.

Room Tip: I believe that all of the rooms are wonderful. Very Spacious
