We spent three nights here, and could easily have spent 10. The Burren is fantastic, full of historical ruins. Conor and Peggy were friendly and helpful. If you like history, Conor is a history aficionado, and will supply you will the most excellent guidebooks to the ancient ruins in the Burren. Breakfasts, the room, the service, the setting, the location.... ALL 5 STAR.

I chose this B&B because of previous reviews on Tripadvisor and it did not let me down. The owner, Conor Fahy, is wonderful. The location is right outside of town, a little close to the road, but surprisingly quiet. We chose a family room which was very spacious, clean and comfortable. We stayed two nights and the breakfasts both mornings were absolutely delicious! Everything was fresh, you had a large selection to choose from and very generous amounts of food!

The best part was Conor's expertise. We had an idea of what we wanted to see and he helped steer us in the right direction, along with lots of historical information. I would highly recommend this as a place to stay to explore The Burren (which has a lot to do and great hiking!).

We stayed two nights here while visiting the Burren area. The suite we had was comfortable for our party. The shower was very tight as it was part of a tub and the curtain was in need of replacing. The remainder of the room was just fine for a 1 to 2 nights stay. A number of families with kids were staying there as the prices are reasonable.

The breakfasts were very good, more than ample, and served served extremely hot as is the fashion in Ireland. You need to order the night before so they can plan accordingly. This is the only place we experienced this during a couple of weeks in Ireland. The gentleman greeting us took time to help with a laundry need as they were not able to do it for us. He contacted another gentleman in town who did it for us, charging 13 Euro for twenty some items. A decent bargin.

The location is less than 1 kilometer from town, long enough to drive in for dinner, especially if raining. A fine place to stay at a reasonable price.

Cheers!

We spend only one but great night at Cappabhaile. The hotel is beautiful (even if it doesn't look very much from the outside). Very big rooms (we had triple ones and quadruple), with kig size beds, sofa and really nice bathroom. Furthermore there's a living room and a snooker room which is just great. The location is very quiet. The hosts were wonderful , extremely friendly, jovial and helpful. Breakfast is plentiful and very good. The location is perfect for visiting The Buren. Only the shower was difficul to tune and to have high pressure, but it was not a problem at all.

Welcomed and made to feel at home, alot of space and initially thought top rate BUT if you like quiet and sound proofing this was a bit lacking with poor door fitting , such that you could hear all the goings on. 20th century TV and a small one at that !! Not that we were there to watch it but should I think be at least be treated to an up to date machine with good picture.
The boss -magnificent , very helpful , full of knowledge and put us onto a great restaurant for dinner-worth the 15minute drive to the coast .
Breakfast -superb quality and just what the Dr ordered-not . The full Irish was wonderful and the fruit selection and muesli lovely
Staff friendly.
Book direct with B and B worthwhile on their website and save a few Euros

Room Tip: Rooms not sound proof so could hear all the goings on with door closed and talking in the corridors

We arrived at Cappabhaile House directly from Shannon Airport. The rooms are immaculate, beds divine, breakfast was excellent and the location perfect for our afternoon tour of the Burren. Took an early morning jog to the nearby art college and castle tower.

Room Tip: Our room faced the back beautiful pastures and mountains.

Room was big and roomy for our family of 5 with 3 teenagers, and extremely clean! The common room was filled with games, toys,DVDs, and a pool table. The staff were warm, welcoming, and helpful. They were quick to recommend sights and activities based on what we wanted and were ready to help with directions etc. This place was a pleasant surprise after a week of traveling through Ireland! We would definitely recommend this place to anyone, and we hope to come back!
